The largest outsourcers of support of SAP solutions: ranking of TAdviser of 2013

The analytical center TAdviser completed the work on a ranking "Outsourcing of support of SAP solutions: the largest players in Russia 2013".

According to a ranking, the largest outsourcing partners of SAP at the end of 2012 became IBS companies, EAE-Consult, Energodat, ITSC and Asteros. Let's remind that at the end of 2011 three largest partners in an autorsing of SAP CIS of steel of IBS (revenue more than 685 million rubles), Energodat (more than 621 million) and Asteros (more than 425 million). For the last year EAE-Consult was succeeded to come to the second place, having increased turnover in this direction more than twice.

Growth rates of autorsingovy business of some partners of SAP more than impress: for example, in comparison with 2011, in 2012 the corresponding revenue of ITSC grew nearly two (by 95.3%), at Saprun Group almost by 1.5 times (for 41.9%), and at the small player of Migo-group revenue from outsourcing services of a SAP software grew more than by 10 times: from 7.769 million rubles in 2011 to 96.769 million rubles in 2012 that allowed the last to come very close to the top ten. All this speaks about high potential still of the young market where successfully signed contracts along with the developed reputation occasionally solve everything for service companies.

It is interesting that in 2012 first "five" of the outsourcing companies of a ranking earned 70.6% of revenue top-15 or nearly 3.423 billion rubles, and in 2011 this the amount made only 62.4% of revenue top-15 or 2.409 billion rubles that testifies to the increasing weight in the market of large players. The first top-15 the companies of rating earned at 25.6% more in total, than in 2011, or nearly 4.848 billion rubles (the previous year their revenue made 3.859 billion rubles).

By estimates of the TAdviser center, in 2012 the market of services of outsourcing of support of SAP solutions in Russia (except for the insourcing companies) exceeded a mark of $170 million. Growth of market size in relation to 2011 was about 15% (the previous year experts estimated the market at about $150 million). The forecast of further dynamics of this market stable – also at the level of 13-15% a year.

Let's remind that in the middle of February, 2013 summed up of SAP CIS the work results in the region for the previous financial year. The company announced cumulative growth of income by 14.2%, sales of software (plus 14.8% in annual comparison) and services in a customer support (17.2%) became the most quickly growing directions among other.

For the end of 2013 services of support of SAP applications are rendered by more than 100 partners of SAP CIS company, the majority of whom have the status SAP Service Partner or above. By estimates of TAdviser, more than 60% of the market of IT outsourcing of SAP solutions in Russia are the share of federal players and large service providers. Market participants note that the market is gradually included into a stage of "growing".

Dmitry Ivitsky, the director of the service center IBS, told TAdviser that when eight years ago IBS began to offer services in model of service outsourcing in Russia, generally international companies for which such model of work was usual were her first clients. "Now already more and more Russian companies leave the different industries from the scheme of resource outsourcing (actually outstaffing), or the maintenance of own command of support, to classical outsourcing of support. In our current client portfolio the share of purely Russian companies makes already more than 50%", - he noted. According to him, the general grows managerial literacy of IT managers in the companies operating SAP, and understanding that it is much simpler to manage service on three-four KPI than at a team of several (and sometimes and several tens) the person, at the same time not only significantly reducing the cost of ownership of IT systems, but also trying to obtain more essential business effects of their use due to gaining access to extensive examination. "However in such situation an important factor is reliability of Service-Partner, the staff of the SAP specialists which is available for it and capability to provide the guaranteed level of support in a long-term outlook that as the trend, will develop into enlargement of players in this market and to leaving of smaller companies", - Dmitry Ivitsky considers.
Vladimir Solomin, the managing partner of BDO Unicon Outsourcing, believes that the market of support of applications based on SAP in the last two years became more mature. "Today customers carefully estimate and compare the cost of support of systems by own forces and using the external supplier. Requirements to providers grew: often we are asked not just to take a system on service, but also to book SAP implementation audit", - he noted. Besides, demand for user training increased: clients aim to use already implemented system most effectively.
Alexander Semyonov, the CEO of CORUS Consulting Group, considers that now in the market of support of SAP the crucial role is played not so much by the choice of service company how many specific specialists, which stand behind it. "Clients even more often is guided only by presence of technical specialists who are necessary for them, regardless of where these employees work, and reserve project management and risk management of all project", - he told TAdviser. Other trend, according to Alexander Semyonov, is connected with the fact that the number of freelance-specialists in the SAP solutions in the Russian market grows because of existence of positive experience of the previous work and owing to influence of the first trend and the general market situation. Also he noted that in the market there are more and more actively specialized organizations which act as command centers as freelance-specialists in the SAP solutions. These "centers" optimize costs and access to the market of a SAP resources on the one hand, and - for consultants and technical specialists - do simpler the offer of the services to the companies, with another.
Vladimir Poletayev, the CEO Go-Life, also selected a maturity of approaches of the companies to implementation of new IT solutions. Now customers initially states in requirements to implementation not only functional features of a system, but also the requirement for its lifecycle after implementation. More and more relevant are such concepts as operation and support/maintenance of systems, and also total cost of ownership on rather long horizon of use taking into account all lifecycle of the IT service. "It is possible to speak about preserving of a positive trend of market development of outsourcing of support of IT solutions in Russia and its more and more active use by the Russian organizations", - he is sure.

The "Information Technologies and Consulting" company is sure that the volume of outsourcing of a SAP software will grow as use of outsourcing of a SAP software will allow to reduce costs and to increase service quality. At the same time most of clients do not give all levels of support on outsourcing: support of servers and communication with end users are tried to be left in the field of responsibility of own IT service.

Vladimir Kalinenko, the first deputy director general of ITSC company, told TAdviser that the market of an autorsing of support of SAP really slowed down growth in comparison with previous years. At the same time it selected two top trends: increase in a market share of a hosting of the equipment and transition from work on SLA to the service guaranteeing availability of applications. "About five years ago all companies worked at the DPCs. Now more and more companies use "cloud" technologies for storage and data processing. The current trend of transition to HANA will even more increase a hosting market share. As for transition from standard SLA to new level, many outsourcers are not ready to provide such service as it raises the quality requirement of implementation of systems. We began the movement in this direction: road map is made, we plan transition to more "tough" for us SLA", - the expert told.
