Biography

Denis Anikin graduated from faculty of calculus mathematics and cybernetics of Moscow State University and also a postgraduate study of physical and chemical faculty of National University of Science and Technology.

Anikin's career began in 2000 with the programmer's position in ORTs. In 2003-2006 worked as the leading programmer in CBOSS company. In 2006-2008 was the technical director of Media of the worlds. From 2008 to 2011 - the technical manager in "Yandex".

In 2011 Denis Anikin came to Mail.Ru Group, having held a position of the technical director of Mail.Ru Mail. On its initiative in 2013 the Mail.Ru Cloud project which he headed as the technical director in parallel with Mail was started.

At the end of 2015 Denis Anikin became a Tarantool project manager, having turned internal technology into successful business, and in 2017 started service of virtual infrastructure Infra.

2018: Appointment of CIO Mail.Ru Group

On July 25, 2018 Mail.Ru Group announced Denis Anikin's appointment to a position of Chief Information Officer (CIO).

As reported TAdviser in Mail.Ru Group, the position of CIO in the company was created for the first time in connection with expansion of the e-commerce direction and emergence of new business challenges. Denis Anikin's tasks at a position of CIO include development of the ecosystem providing exchange of technologies and data in the company. Besides, the zone of its responsibility includes creation of the general infrastructure of Big Data and internal cloud services.

One of the priority CIO directions is improvement of technological solutions in the block of projects e-commerce. In particular, Denis Anikin will help with development of a technology component of the fast-growing aggregator of the Citymobil taxi in which invested Mail.Ru Group earlier. Tasks of CIO include building of internal processes, expansion of a technical command and to stability augmentation and speed of work of services using implementation of modern technologies of processing and data analysis.

With growth of business also the data array, technologies and developments which can find application in several directions at once grows.
