Biography

1998: Work in Atlas Copco

About thirteen years (1998-2011) worked at different executive positions in Atlas Copco company, world solution provider for ensuring steady performance.

2011: Management of Wärtsilä

From 2011 to 2015 directed the Wärtsilä corporation specializing in production and service of the machine equipment and power plants for the ship-building and power enterprises.

2015: Chief executive of Sandvik

Since 2015 held a post of the chief executive of the international group of the hi-tech engineering companies Sandvik. From 2015 for 2019 he managed to provide decentralization of structure of the Sandvik organization, to increase profitability and financial stability of group.

2019: Appointment of ABB as the CEO

On August 11, 2019 ABB announced sixty-year-old Bjoern Rozengren's appointment the new CEO of the company.  After this this statement of a stock of the Swiss electrotechnical concern grew in price for 4.3%.

Rozengren will replace Ulrich Spiesshofer who headed ABB since 2013 and announced resignation in April the 2019th. Bjoern Rozengren will join the company since February 1, 2020, and on March 1 will replace at this position of Peter Voser who, in turn, will return to execution of the duties only as the chairman of the board of directors of ABB company.

Bjørn Rosengren got up at a wheel of ABB during business transformation which there began the company after unsatisfactory financial performance and disputable acquisitions.

On a post of the head of ABB Bjoern Rozengren will focus on strategy and culture and also the company will be helped by volume that four main divisions developed even more independently.

The analyst of Bank of America of Merrill Lynch Alexander Virgo considers that the person with successful experience and strong reputation in the capital markets that should help the company to improve operational results became the CEO of ABB.

Before transition to ABB Rozengren headed the Sandvik company which is engaged in creation of tools for cutting of metal, the equipment, tools and services for the mountain and construction industries and also products from stainless steel and special alloys.[1]
