Biography

Was born on November 1, 1964 in Akzhar Dzhambulskoy's village of area of the Kazakh SSR.

Education

1986 - graduated from the Leningrad agricultural institute majoring in "Economy and the organization of agriculture".

Career

1988 - For 1993 - worked as the chairman of the Kingisepp city council of People's Deputies then passed to work into the mayor's office of the Kingisepp district,

1993 - 1995 - there passed the way from the deputy mayor and the vice-mayor, to the mayor of the district of the Kingisepp district performing duties.

1996 - 2002 - the mayor of the Kingisepp district, the head of the municipality "The Kingisepp district".

On November 6, 2002 - the order of the Governor of the Leningrad Region it is appointed the vice governor of the Leningrad Region - the chairman of the Leningrad regional management committee state property.

At the same time was the head of territorial authority of the Ministry of Property of Russia across the Leningrad Region.

2012: Governor of the Leningrad Region

May 5, 2012 - The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev submitted for consideration of Legislative assembly of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko's candidacy for investment with its powers of the governor of the Leningrad Region.

May 12, 2012 - The legislative Assembly approved Aleksadr Drozdenko on a post of the governor of the Leningrad Region.

On May 28, 2012 - entered a position of the governor of the Leningrad Region.

On May 12, 2015 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Leningrad Region the Decree "About Early Termination of Powers of the Governor". Alexander Drozdenko is appointed the acting as the Governor Leningrad Region.

On early elections of the Governor of the Leningrad Region on September 13, 2015 Alexander Drozdenko got support of 471 thousand 145 voters that made 82.1% of number of the voters who took part in elections. On September 30, 2015 the ceremony of the official introduction of Alexander Drozdenko in a position of the Governor of the Leningrad Region was held.

Public activity

On February 14, 2012 - took part in opening of the wall symbolizing the beginning of construction of the new^[2].

On August 19, 2012 - took part in opening of the repaired clinic in Vyborg^[3].

On September 15, 2012 - took part in the stock "Let's Make Together!". In all areas of the Leningrad Region more than 13,000 people took part in cleaning of places of traditional rest of the population. Implementation of so large-scale action became possible thanks to consolidation of efforts of volunteers, representatives of the public nature protection organizations, bodies executive and legislature, mass media^[4].

On November 21, 2012 - took part in opening of the inter-settlement Tolmachevo gas pipeline - Torkovichi - Oredezh and the block and modular boiler house in Torkovichi^[5] settlement^[5].

On January 18, 2013 - visited the temple of Christmas of John the Forerunner and took part in a holiday of the Epiphany and Epiphany bathings which took place on the Tokhkolodsky lake of the village of Uekki of the Vsevolozhsk district^[6].

On March 16, 2013 - attended the Cossack military games in the settlement Hillocks of the Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad Region and held the meeting devoted to the program of spiritual development of the Cossacks in the Leningrad Region. Before official opening of military games Alexander Drozdenko took part in a prayer at the temple for the sake of Blessed Virgin Mary's icon August^[7].

On April 17, 2013 - participated in the VIII general meeting of members of "Council of Municipal Entities of the Leningrad Region" association in Sosnovy Bor^[8].

Awards

• March 12, 1996 - The Order of Friendship - for merits before the state and a big contribution to arrangement of a customs border with the states of the Baltics^[9].

• July 31, 2002 - A medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the II degree - for a big contribution to social and economic development of the Leningrad Region and long-term honest work^[10].

• 2003 - Gratitude of the minister of the property relations of Russia - for the achieved success in management of federal property, high discipline and conscientious attitude to work.

• May 21, 2008 - A medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the I degree - for the achieved labor success and long-term fair work^[11].

• Certificate of honor of the governor of the Leningrad Region.

He is married, two daughters.
