Biography

Born on August 10, 1961 in Derbent (Dagestan).

He graduated in 1985 from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University with a degree in journalism. He was assigned to work in Ulyanovsk, where he became a correspondent for the newspaper Ulyanovsky Komsomolets, then worked there as a secretary.

On May 22, 1990, the Ulyanovsk regional committee of the Komsomol renamed the newspaper Ulyanovsky Komsomolets into the Word of Youth. Soon, Gabrelyanov became the chief editor of the Ulyanovsk youth team, who managed to raise the circulation of the newspaper from 9,000 to 210,000 copies. In 1992, the newspaper was privatized by its employees led by Aram and once again changed its name to Simbirsk Provincial News.
