Biography

2019: Reset of a self-made bomb on the house of former

In the middle of September, 2019 the prosecutor's office of east District of State of Pennsylvania told about how the 43-year-old man used UAV DJI Phantom 3 to drop self-made bombs on the house of the ex-girlfriend. There was a small explosion.

According to data of prosecutor's office, in June, 2019 Jason Muzzicato used the unregistered UAV for transfer of explosives. After painful parting of Muzzicato dropped on the house being self-made bombs, but, fortunately, nobody suffered. The attentive neighbor who became the witness of crime called the police, and some unexploded devices were found and safely deactivated. Bombs contained nails, ball bearings and incendiary liquid.

The lawyer Muzzikato, John Waldron, denies that his client used the UAV for reset of explosives, and notes that the prosecutor's office has no "convincing proofs". Nevertheless Muzzikato was arrested in June and since then is under protection. Its apartments found at a search objects which can potentially connect Muzzikato with explosions formed the basis for arrest. In addition to the Phantom 3 UAV seven improvised explosive devices and ten units of firearms, including several AR-15 rifles were found. The unregistered drone, presumably, could be also involved in some other disorders, including in a series of explosions.

Muzzikato was accused of storage of firearms and improvised explosive devices and also of operation of the unregistered UAV. Besides, it turned out that Muzzikato abuses methamphetamine. If the court pronounces a conviction, it is threatened up to 33 years of imprisonment also by a penalty in the amount up to $760,000.[1]
