Education

Jennifer finished James Madison University in Harrisonburg, the State of Virginia.

Career

At the beginning of the career Jennifer worked at different executive positions in Siebel Systems and Accenture.

Jennifer worked at several executive positions in SAP from the moment of arrival to the company in 2004. As the head of Public of the sector of SAP in North America, and then as the president of division of Regulated Industries. She was an ideological inspirer in the field of work with public sector, represented SAP in the U.S. Government and addressed the U. S. Congress. Held a post of the president of SAP in North America where it directed fast transition of the region to a cloud. Jennifer also played an important role in the region, advancing such programs of integration, such as, "Autism at work".

Jennifer became the first American who entered into Executive council of SAP when she was appointed the president of regions of North and South America and Asia in 2017. In this role she was responsible for income, strategy and success of clients of SAP in North America, Latin America and the Pacific Rim.

Held a post of the president of Cloud Business Group in SAP, supervising Qualtrics, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, SAP Customer Experience and SAP Concur. Jennifer headed fast and aggressive transition of the company to cloud computing, in a zone of its responsibility there were revenue, product development, researches, sales and marketing of cloud business of SAP.

2019: Appointment of SAP as the CEO

On October 11, 2019 SAP announced dismissal Bill Makdermotta who directed the company for 9 years.

From this day the position of the CEO of SAP was held jointly by the head of cloud business of the company Jennifer Morgan and the operating officer Christian Klein. Makdermott will remain in SAP until the end of 2019 as the consultant to help the company to perform smooth replacement of the leadership.

As reported in the press release of SAP, under the leadership of Bill McDermott there was a significant growth in SAP, expansion of a portfolio, important transition to clouds. Key indicators, including the market value, income, profit, the involvement of employees and ecological sustainability, considerably became stronger since 2010.

According to the director of EAConsult Joshua Greenbaum, Bill McDermott could fix SAP in the cloud market and begin difficult transition to absolutely new business method, still bringing income which investors want.

2020: Departure from the job of the CEO of SAP

On April 21, 2020 SAP announced Jennifer Morgan's leaving from a post of the CEO of the company. Since April 30 this position will be held alone by 39-year-old Christian Klein. The German producer of the corporate software connected top-level restructuring with a pandemic of a coronavirus of COVID-19 which influences activity of the companies and pushes them to changes.

As noted in SAP, 48-year-old Jennifer Morgan and Board of Directors of the company came to single solution about dismissal and preserving of one CEO.

According to Christian Klein, in the conditions of approach of the global problems connected with a coronavirus, SAP took a good position which will help to experience difficulties and to adapt to new conditions. This position is reached thanks to emphasis of SAP on increase in more predictable profit and a geographical and industry variety of business and also use of a steady business model and support of relevance of a product portfolio, he said.

In a conversation with journalists Klein also added that SAP wanted to return to management model with one CEO, but did not think of specific terms. At approach of crisis suitable time has come, the top manager reported.

As the informed informant told Bloomberg, SAP was a supporter of structure from two heads, but after spread of a coronavirus such model, according to the company, stopped being sensible.
