Biography

1965-2003

Igor Ilyich Kozlov was born in 1965 in Tashkent.

In 1987 graduated from the Riga highest military aviation engineering college of Yakov Alksnis, in 1999 — Military and air engineering academy of a name of professor N.E. Zhukovsky, Candidate of Technical Sciences, the associate professor. In 2006 gained the diploma of MBA of business school of the Eslingensky university.

From 1982 to 2003 passed military service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Upon completion of service worked at top positions in the Russian financial and industrial and investment holdings: ChTPZ Group, FC Uralsib, AFK "Sistema". At the same time was a member of Boards of Directors of the large companies of the ICT sector and defense industry complex — JSC Sitronics, JSC RTI System.

2013-2014

In November, 2013 it is appointed the Adviser to the Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Nikolai Nikiforov. The circle of its duties includes work on preparation of projects of regulatory legal acts concerning corporate management in industry joint-stock companies with the state participation and increases in efficiency of activity of the federal state unitary enterprises subordinated to the ministry.

On April 2, 2014 Igor Kozlov is elected in Board of Directors of JSC Rostelecom. The relevant decision was made at extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the company where the new structure of Council was defined.

2016: Appointment as the head of Ruselectronics

At the end February, 2016 it became known of Igor Kozlov's appointment the CEO of Ruselectronics. It will replace Andrey Zverev directing "subsidiary" of Rostec since 2009, Vedomosti with reference to service of communications of state corporation writes.

The reasons of replacement of the leadership of Ruselectronics are unknown. Andrey Zverev only reported that he decided to replace work location.

The adviser to the Minister of Communications Igor Kozlov headed Ruselectronics

As told the edition in Rostec, Igor Kozlov should re-structure and close "a number of projects" and also to bring non-core assets out of Ruselectronics. What, it is not specified.

According to the industrial director of a radio-electronic cluster of Rostec Sergey Kulikov, the new head of Ruselectronics will have to focus on change of strategy of holding as its growth rates do not correspond to requirements of the market and dynamics of business development of global manufacturers.

Ruselectronics needs to be focused on release of hi-tech products with high value added, to define the priority product directions and key products, to build work with customers for determination of real requirements, Kulikov added.

Kozlov came to Ruselectronics from a post of the adviser to the Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications. At this position he supervised development of satellite technologies.[1]
