Biography

Ivan Kuzmin graduated from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky, is the author of articles on the topics of artificial intelligence and unmanned vehicles. He has a Ph.D. in political science - defended his thesis "Global informatization and its political and technological support."

As of June 2021 - Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Political Science and Public Administration.

2004: Working at Intel

Since 2004, he has been working at Intel. Until 2011, Kuzmin led projects and teams for the development of software products in Russia and abroad, such as automation of various services and optimization of business processes within the company.

From 2011 to 2013, he worked in the United States at Intel's head office, where he was responsible for building a distributed international team that ensures the continuity of the software development process in the company, as well as implementing best practices for its creation. For success in management, he was awarded the Intel IT Manager Excellence Award.

After returning to Russia, Ivan Kuzmin headed the department of high-performance mathematical libraries. Under his leadership, the Russian division of Intel created new libraries for data analysis (Intel Data Analytics Acceleration Library) and autonomous cars (Intel Autonomous Driving Library).

Since October 2019, he served as Deputy General Director for Research and Development of Intel in Russia, responsible, among other things, for building an employer brand and developing employees.

2010: Intel CEO for Research and Development in Russia

2020.

In January 2020, Intel announced the appointment of Ivan Kuzmin as CEO for research and development in Russia. In this position, Kuzmin will replace Marina Alekseeva, who has worked at Intel since 2000. She's leaving the company in March.

Intel notes that Alekseeva in recent years has been able to significantly expand the tasks and scale of the research and development center in Nizhny Novgorod, turning the division into one of the leading R&D centers of the company in the world.

Marina Alekseeva's decision to leave her post is due to her desire to devote more time to her family and personal projects related to the preparation of a "new generation of leaders," Intel explains. However, she will be able to serve as a consultant to the R&D Centre management on various issues, if necessary.

2021

Leaving Intel Russia

In June 2021, he left the post of CEO of Intel Research and Development in Russia, deciding to move to another organization.

Under his leadership, the Russian division of R & DIntel began to play a significant role in the company's strategy, providing a full cycle of management of key software products.

Senior Managing Director, Technology Development, Sber Recommendation Platform

On June 25, 2021, Sber informed TAdviser about personnel changes in the team of the Technologies block. Ivan Kuzmin was appointed to the post of senior managing director for technological development of the recommendation platform. In this position, he reports to STO Sberbank Group, executive vice president, head of the Technology block David Rafalovsky.

Ivan Kuzmin focuses on creating a platform of recommendation systems for the entire Sber ecosystem. It is expected that the recommendation system platform will become an important part of Sber's IT architecture and will be in demand by numerous ecosystem businesses.

Before joining Sber, Ivan Kuzmin worked at Intel for 17 years.
