Daniel Ling (Daniel T. Ling) - the corporate vice president in Microsoft, from 1995 to 2007 he headed Microsoft Research laboratory in Redmond. Now Daniel T. Ling develops several new initiatives for Microsoft Research.

Biography

Ling came to Microsoft Research in March, 1992 as one of founders of laboratory in the field of human-computer interaction and computer graphics. Before he worked in Research laboratory IBM Watson at different positions. Daniel T. Ling received degrees of the bachelor, the master and the doctor in the field of electrotechnical sciences at the Stanford university, holds seven patents and is the author of a set of publications.

Awards

Ling was awarded with IBM Outstanding Innovation Award in 1986 for its joint invention video of RAM.
