Biography

Was born on October 23, 1967 in Poltava.

In 1989 graduated from the Poltava highest military command college of communication, in 1998 – Military academy of communication of Marshal of the Soviet Union of S.M. Budenny, in 2005 – the All-Russian state tax academy of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

During the period from 1989 to 2003 served on different executive positions in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Began service in law-enforcement bodies with a position of the chief specialist of Management of communication and automation of Logistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

In Department of information technologies, communication and data protection the Ministry of Internal Affairs works from the moment of its creation. Held a position of the deputy chief of department.

In April, 2015 the decree of the Russian President it is appointed the head of the department of information technologies, communication and data protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Sergey Lyashenko's appointment to this position was preceded by promotion of the previous head of department -Alexander Makhonov who held a post of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.

In September, 2018 the position of the head of the department of IT, communication and data protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs became vacant. The lieutenant general of internal service Sergey Lyashenko who was earlier occupying it is exempted from it by the decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin[1].

The dismissed Sergey Lyashenko was in the presidential list on dismissal, consisting at once of 20 high-ranking police officers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Investigative Committee, FPS and regional prosecutor's offices. All of them became persons involved in the same decree of Vladimir Putin of August 28, 2018. The same document approved new appointments to important posts in security agencies, however any successor of Lyashenko is not mentioned in the decree.
