Biography

Sergey Viktorovich Petrov came to CTC Media in 1995 to a position of the CEO of STS channel in Kazan ("the 6th channel"), and since 1998, works in the corporate center.

In 1998 Mr. Petrov becomes the director of the department of new stations and development of priority stations, then the director of the department of development of network and external relations and in a year – the director of the department of sales of STS. Under the leadership of Sergey Petrov the commercial service is created, the trade alliance with Video International group becomes stronger.

Since 2002 within 4 years in Mr. Petrov successfully takes a position of the deputy CEO of STS.

In 2005 combining it with a position of the deputy CEO of Domashny TV channel.

In 2006 Mr. Petrov headed the STS Region and Marafon-TV as the CEO.

In 2008 in connection with managerial reform in CTC Media the new structure was created and Mr. Petrov became the deputy CEO for regional development, and in 2009 the directorate headed by Sergey Petrov was renamed into directorate on management of broadcasting in the Russian Federation.

In February, 2016 as the president of the Media communication union the Internet + media" as a part of the Working group of the Russian President Administration on use of the Internet in domestic economy is appointed by the head of subgroup ".

Since December 05, 2017 Sergey Petrov is the director of Autonomous nonprofit organization Institute of Development of the Internet (ANO IRI).

January 26, 2018 Turn gray Petrov was elected the Chairman of the board of the Coordination center of domains. RU/.RF

On February 28, 2019 the CEO of Institute of development of the Internet Sergey Petrov is elected the chairman of the board of the Coordination center of the national domain of the Internet for the second term. His candidacy was presented by the Ministry of digital development, communication and mass communications of the Russian Federation and unanimously supported by all members of council.
