2017: Appointment of HPE as the global sales director

In November, 2017 HPE announced liquidation of one leading level in EMEA countries (Europe, the Middle East, Africa). Positions of sales executives of the company in this region and the USA were eliminated, and occupying them according to Andy Isherwood and Jim Merritt are dismissed. Duties of these already former top managers will be executed by Phil Davis appointed the global sales director of HPE.

The president of HPE Antonio Neri heading the program of simplification and optimization of HPE Next company said that the company removes "several layers" to accelerate decision making for clients. According to him, HPE will represent more flexible company having modern tool kit with which it is much simpler to do business. Nery also noted that the happening changes will give to partners of HPE an opportunity to earn more money at smaller efforts.

According to Phil Davies, intention of the company to change the management structure in the countries of EMEA is directed to promoting faster decision making and also to eliminate a distance between the senior management and clients.

In the interview for IT Europa Davies told the following:

We had a structure identical to that, as in times when we were $ the 110-billion company. But now we became $ the 28-billion company to be more mobile and fast. We saw that our corporate structure is not adapted for business in more flexible company. And though we did away with big structures, we still will have global corporate program.

Add to HPE that changes in a management structure will lead to the accelerated formation of commercial offers and decision making in the field. Moreover, results can lead to reduction of articles of some product lines of the producer.[1]

At the Russian office planned changes in connection with liquidation of management of the company in EMEA could not comment on TAdviser.
