Career

Came to Troika Dialog in 1998 to a position of the managing director of investment banking management. From 2003 to 2006 held a position of the chief executive of Troika Dialog, supervising work of investment banking management, management of trade operations and management company. Since April, 2006 it manages own investments of Troika Dialog.

On the account of Mr. Skvortsov there are a lot of implemented transactions, including purchase by the Efes group of Amstar brewery in 2003, sale of a large share block of World Class company in 2006, sale of the blocking packet of JSC AvtoVAZ of Renault company and creation of strategic alliance AVTOVAZ-Renault-Nissan in 2008, creation of exclusive strategic partnership between JSC KAMAZ, Daimler AG concern and Russian Technologies State Corporation in 2008. Mr. Skvortsov was directly involved in implementation of the largest transactions in the field of direct investments, in particular, for such companies as Rosgosstrakh, Mostotrest, Format and others.

Since 2006 Mr. Skvortsov is the board member of JSC KAMAZ. Since 2007 he is an advisory board member Nestlé (Russia). On the C of June, 2008 enters into Board of Directors of JSC AvtoVAZ, and since September, 2008 is a member of the committee on investment policy at the Supervisory board of Russian Nanotechnology Corporation of RUSNANO.

From 1998 to 2008 was responsible for business of Troika Dialog in power industry and took active part in reforming of the industry. Under its management such bargains as sale of controlling stakes of JSC OGK-4, JSC OGK-2, JSC TGC-10, JSC TGC-9, JSC TGC-7 and others were concluded.

Before arrival to Troika Dialog Mr. Skvortsov headed the Moscow Business Consultants (MBC) company founded by it and his colleagues in 1988. Under the leadership of Sergey Skvortsov about 30 large-scale advisory projects connected with the direct foreign investments in economy of Russia were implemented.

Skvortsov Sergey holding earlier a position of the deputy CEO of State Corporation Rostec for investment activities is elected in the summer of 2016 the chairman of the board of directors of AVTOVAZ and will supervise activity of the automobile concern, largest in Russia. As the chairman of the board of directors of AVTOVAZ Sergey Skvortsov supervises the questions connected with the planned recapitalization of the enterprise from key shareholders, debt restructuring, interaction with public authorities.

Education

Mr. Skvortsov graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1986, has degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences. In 1992 completed a training course on investments into emerging markets of Merrill Lynch bank, and in 2005 – Advanced Management Programme in INSEAD (France).
