On August 12, 2019 Sberbank announced TAdviser Oksana Smirnova-Crelle's appointment to a position of the vice president for technology development of banking products. In this role she supervises implementation of engineering products together with departments of IT of functional units, directs communication function of the block and also Management of resource planning and Management of implementation and strategy implementation of the Technologies block.

Oksana, in your opinion whether the situation in the market influences requirements to IT infrastructure of bank?
Oksana Smirnova-Crelle: First of all, it is necessary to define what we mean under the term "IT infrastructure". If to speak not about separate information systems, and about everything programmatically a hardware complex which ensures functioning of bank then influence on IT architecture and the IT platform is rendered rather not by(with) a situation in the market, and that activity in which the credit institution is engaged. The profile of activity of bank, structure of its branch network as, for example, the universal bank with an extensive multibranch network will have IT infrastructure, other than small bank, matters. Besides, the mark is left also by the business processes existing in this or that bank, extent of centralization of operational and other functions, the accepted risk management system, calculations, interactions with the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, customer service (including remote), decision makings, etc.
All this finds the reflection in technology structure and architecture of the IT platform and features of implementation of this or that software solution. The core banking system in bank can be both centralized, and locally distributed, jobs in departments can be organized based on both "thick", and "thin" clients. It defines structure and structure of the server hardware which the bank needs to have, requirements to communication channels and other functionality. Thus, for formation of IT infrastructure of bank not the situation in the market, but a profile of activity of bank, the strategy of its development, its sizes, geographical distribution has primary value. Though indirectly, of course, the market influences these factors as both the sizes of bank, and strategy, and geographical presence in many respects depend on a situation in the market. The strategy of bank defines a profile of its activity, and the last sets requirements to the IT platform, its support, etc.
