Education

In 1997 he graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. In 2002-2004 he studied under the MBA program for leaders at the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Career

Andrei Ushatsky in 1996 began his career at MTS as a specialist in the radio relay line service, then worked as head of the network operation service, director of the network operation department and deputy director of the MTS Russia business unit.

In April 2009, Ushatsky was appointed MTS Vice President for Engineering.

In April 2014, MTS announced the transfer of the company's information technology unit under the leadership of Andrei Ushatsky. In connection with the expansion of powers, he was appointed Vice President of MTS for Technology and Information Technology.

MTS notes that the priority areas for Ushatsky in the new rank will be the development of modern mobile and fixed data transmission networks and the creation of technological platforms for the implementation of solutions that combine a full range of telecommunications and financial services for private and corporate clients.

Previously, the MTS IT unit was led by Frederick Vanoschuise. MTS told TAdviser that he left the company.

On June 22, 2018, by the decision of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of MGTS, Andrey Ushatsky was included in the Board of Directors of the company.

In August 2019, Vice President for Technology Andrei Ushatsky left the MTS board and began reporting directly to MTS President Aleksei Kornya.

2024: Purchase of a stake in Radio Gigabit

On January 9, 2024, it became known that the Nizhny Novgorod developer of telecommunications equipment Radio Gigabit changed its ownership structure. The American Radio Gigabit Inc. left the founders of the organization, and the shares were redistributed among themselves by the current and former top managers of MTS and Maxim Group of Companies.
