2020: Integration of Proxem Studio into the 3DExperience platform

On August 3, 2020, Dassault Systemes announced the expansion of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for collaboration in the field of data analysis and processing. Users of Dassault Systemes will be able to use accumulated data arrays thanks to the technology of converting unstructured texts into working ideas and conclusions, followed by the use of virtual twins in the environment . This was made possible after the acquisition of Proxem, a private French company that specializes in software and semantic text processing services based on artificial intelligence, as well as solutions for analyzing customer experience.

3DExperience

According to the company, combining AI with modeling and simulation applications will allow users of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform from various industries to optimize data analysis and presentation. They will be able to automate the process of interpreting information contained in technical and regulatory acts, customer feedback and quality control departments, contracts, scientific publications, research reports or clinical research results. On their basis, full-fledged virtual doubles can be created. This opens up opportunities for collaborative work that stimulates development, facilitates the planning and implementation of organizational processes. In addition, this will allow Dassault Systemes to replenish the range of services offered to analyze information on technical requirements, contracts, as well as for the development of medicines.

Dassault Systemes integrated Proxem - Proxem Studio - into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, complementing NETVIBES EXALEAD applications for information collection and analysis. This enhances the range of available AI models by converting existing industry information into a summary schedule for reuse. Proxem Studio offers a combination of natural language analysis, natural language processing technology and machine learning. These technologies are used by companies such as Air Liquide to better analyze supply chains, consumer expectations, market trends, and other aspects of the business.

As a result of this partnership, a solution will be created for unmanned vehicle manufacturers that will help them shape the appearance of future unmanned vehicles, test and model user experience throughout the entire development cycle of the car inside the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This will provide a fully integrated process for the development of unmanned vehicles, which will lead to the emergence of even faster, more accurate and safe autonomous transport on the roads.

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform of Dassault Systèmes includes industry solutions for the automotive and transportation industry, such as Smart, Safe and Connected, which transform the process of designing, creating, manufacturing and operating the latest generation of vehicles. Cognata's simulation solution uses deep learning algorithms, so manufacturers of autonomous vehicles can run thousands of different scenarios - depending on geographical location, expected nature and patterns of traffic and weather conditions. Thanks to introduction of tools for simulation of Cognata to platform 3DEXPERIENCE and to use of functions and applications of system design of CATIA, the company provide to engineers the uniform environment which helps to accelerate processes of design, design, modeling of vehicles and to optimize management of development.

File:Aquote1.png
Modeling plays an important role at all stages of digital system design. It is necessary to go through millions of kilometers of virtual tests before the car can be considered safe. Created on the basis of artificial intelligence, industry solutions that are able to model the behavior of the car, the operation of sensors and road traffic, allow you to test alternative design options at the stage of work on the concept, and then choose the most optimal engineering solutions. By integrating Cognata's comprehensive toolkit into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, we are creating a solution that helps our customers significantly reduce the time required to bring safe unmanned vehicles to market.

2016: XMpLant Support

On July 18, 2016, Dassault Systèmes announced expanded support for technology XMpLant the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Support is implemented through an integrated software tool in the form of interfaces to the main design systems for power plants and ships used by enterprises in the energy, processing and public utilities sector, as well as shipbuilding and marine construction companies. Companies have been able to transfer engineering models and associated analytics data to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to improve collaboration, reduce design time, increase productivity, and optimize their operations.

Marine platforms, ships, nuclear power plants and other large facilities are designed and constructed in a complex ecosystem of suppliers, and millions of spare parts and components are used in such projects. XMpLant provides access to all this intelligent information using an open neutral format that meets the requirements of ISO 15926, supporting the complete structure, attributes, and geometry of 2D diagrams and 3D models. Integrated XMpLant support provides the Dassault Systèmes 3DExperience platform with a ready-to-use solution that provides standardized interoperability and helps connect design data and design, procurement, and construction processes for power plant and ship projects in a unified virtual environment.

This approach helps to organize the digital integrity of production processes among stakeholders involved in the design, procurement and construction throughout the life cycle of a power plant or ship. During a project review, the system helps integrate models from different sources, along with attributes, cost information, quantities, specifications, and time.

Design, design, fabrication, procurement, and operations teams are able to access the design models, design data, and expertise of other employees and customers at the same time and in real time, helping them to interact and increase productivity. Digital reference information helps to further improve productivity and profitability after projects are launched.

File:Aquote1.png
Integrated XMpLant support is another achievement of Dassault Systèmes in implementing an approach aimed at promoting the openness of business platforms by creating opportunities for working with many different interfaces and data exchange standards, such as IFC, Step, IGES, as well as the ability to read data in XMpLant format already implemented in our solutions. The 3DExperience platform was designed to support transparency, which is a key factor for customer success and innovation.
