Agon AG493UCX

On December 9, 2020, AOC introduced the 49-inch (124 cm) AGON AG493UCX with an aspect ratio of 32:9. The monitor looks like combining two 27-inch QHD screens into one seamless panel. There are no frames on three sides of the AG493UCX, which allows enthusiastic gamers to immerse themselves in games. As a representative of the AGON family, the AG493UCX has decisive characteristics for games: 120Hz refresh rate, 1 ms MPRT response time, DisplayHDR 400 and FreeSync Premium Pro. With a resolution of 5120x1440 pixels, Picture by Picture mode, KVM switch to work with multiple sources of incoming signal and USB-C connectivity, the monitor will also be an excellent assistant in improving performance for content creators, YouTube users and streamers.

The name of the AOC premium game line "AGON" from ancient Greek translates as "collision" or "competition." Indeed, the AG493UCX is capable of crushing competitors with its own 49-inch size alone. The seamless VA panel has a bend of 1800R (radius 1.8 m), completely covering the user's peripheral vision on the left and right. The aspect ratio of the monitor is 32:9, the resolution is 5120x1440 pixels, and the refresh rate is 120 Hz. Time of a response of 4 ms of GtG and 1 ms of MPRT guarantees that the image will not be greased, and the AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology eliminates breakthroughs and gaps and provides a low delay even at the included HDR.

AMD Radeon FreeSync 2 technology provides continuous and smooth gameplay due to the variable refresh rate (the update rate of the monitor corresponds to the frame rate that the graphics processor outputs). In FreeSync 2, according to the developer, stricter restrictions are used (for example, forced compensation of a low frame rate and a larger color space) and HDR implementation with a delay lower than that of conventional HDR monitors is possible.

The AG322QC4 has a glossy black body cover and a 31.5 "curved VA panel. Due to the radius of curvature of 1800 mm, the monitor surrounds the user, and the image is not only in the field of direct, but also peripheral vision. This creates a feeling of complete immersion in the game. The curved display ensures that the distance from the eyes to each panel segment is almost the same, and the viewing angle is always straight. This will reduce the likelihood of image distortion, violation of contrast and color transmission, noted in AOC.

The AG322QC4 monitor has QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels). In most games, modern graphics processors with medium to high performance can easily provide QHD with a high frame rate comparable to 4K. The AG322QC4 VA panel also guarantees wide viewing angles comparable to IPS panels.

An update rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 4 ms (GtG) will eliminate the blur effect and give a quick visual response in games with a dynamically changing picture. The AOC Low Input Lag mode further reduces response time. In this mode, post-processing of the image at the hardware level is turned off, which speeds up the transmission of commands from the mouse, keyboard or joystick, AOC emphasized.

According to the developer, the Game Mode package contains presets for games of different genres - first-person shooters, car racing simulators, real-time strategies, etc. By using these presets, the player will be able to better perceive information and respond more quickly to what is happening in the game. In addition, the user can create and save his own presets and switch between them using the QuickSwitch console. Shadow Control allows you to adjust the shadow level on the screen menu, illuminate dark areas, or darken bright/blurred areas, which improves the image.

The AOC Ergo Base is designed to adjust the height, inclination and rotation of the screen and to help you adjust its position. Gamers can also connect the headset directly to the monitor with audio output and microphone input, and when headphones are not needed, hang them on a retractable holder. Add practicality and two USB 3.0 ports, a built-in cable management solution, and a monitor transport handle. The backlight is placed on the bottom and back panels of the monitor, when it is configured, gamers can choose between red, green or blue colors and three levels of intensity.

Sales of AOC AGON AG322QC4 will begin in June 2018 at an estimated price of 41,249 rubles.
