Appius-Konfigurator

Problem of a system of configuring of products of Appius-Konfigurator – automatic "creation" of copy production structure of a product under the order on the basis of information on its components. The system of configuring of products allows to automate completely process of booking of buyers and to reduce order processing time from several days to several minutes.

Appius-Konfigurator is a part of the uniform software package on product lifecycle management Appius-PLM allowing to manage electronic structure of a product, manufacturing techniques, file archive of design documentation, to keep account of originals and copies of paper archive, to calculate labor and material regulations, to operate with electronic notifications on change, differentiation of access rights to design and technology information and also to manage projects.

2019: Release of demonstration base of a subsystem "Appius-Konfigurator" for version 2019

On May 21, 2019 the APPIUS company reported that it released the updated demonstration base of a subsystem "Appius-Konfigurator" for version 2019.

According to the company, Appius-Konfigurator is the subsystem intended for process automation of formation of structure and parameters of a product on the basis of requirements of the order. As an automation object serve so-called configurable products – the made goods which have a set of the options of delivery caused as the varied structure of goods, and a combination of properties of its component parts (a type and a grade of material, color, a type of a covering, producers of purchased products, etc.).

Configuring of any product is made on the basis of products model – the mathematical description of the product including a set of constants, variable, logical conditions and settlement dependences between significant (in terms of configuring) by product parameters.

As an example of the configured products the model of the electronic block is provided. For model a number of interdependent parameters is created. To some parameters the list of possible values for the choice with the description of an algorithm of available options of sharing is entered. For convenience of users during the work with an example within this subsystem on all compound components of a product evident images are added.

On the basis of the calculated products model the user can create the commercial offer for the buyers.

For May, 2019 the demonstration base is available to users of Appius-PLM of 2019 in the presence of the operating technical support.

2012: Appius-Konfigurator 2.6

The APPIUS company released in the fall of 2012 version 2.6 of processing system of parametrical orders of Appius-Konfigurator allowing to increase efficiency of interaction between production, sales and purchases and also to increase productivities of calculation of models of products.

• Management of parametrical structures
  • The possibility of use of Technology processes for parametrization of Models of products is implemented: the feature for use at parametrization of a product both production routes, and technology processes is added.
  • The mechanism of use of parametrical property "Type of Reproduction" in products Models is implemented: the feature for parametrization of products which can either be bought, or be made at the enterprise is added. At the same time depending on the selected option in the specification the Type of reproduction will be obviously specified.

• Management of products models
  • The feature for preserving of any files in information base in an element of the reference book of Model of products is added: there was a possibility of preserving of all accompanying documentation which is used when developing model of products in information base.

• Document "Commercial offer"
  • New version of processing Structure of order: there was an opportunity to quickly receive detailing of the order according to cost items.
  • Order cost accounting: there was an opportunity to calculate cost value of the order according to the specifications and process charts brought to a system by request.

• Access rights
  • The new role is added: "Filling of tables of values": there was an opportunity to separate functional duties of users into "Developers of models of products" and the specialists who are responsible only for input of normative data in a system.

• Administration
  • Processing of copying of Model of products between information bases: the possibility of the organization of work on creation of models of products using additional test base with a possibility of data transfer on the ready tested models in working information base is implemented.
  • Processing of copying of Tables of values between information bases.
