Certification ON "Single Client JaCarta" development, "Aladdin RD" allows you to abandon the use of individual utilities for the platform. The Microsoft Windows JaCarta 1.5 PC also supports Microsoft Windows 8.1 devices in the MicroUSB token form factor.

JaCarta U2F

On October 12, 2015, Aladdin R.D. introduced the JaCarta USB token U2F[1].

The device is designed to [2] users when accessing online resources, made in a USB token form factor, using a JaCarta token in a Nano case, protected from hacking and cloning (confirmed by an EMVCo certificate), with support for device authentication.

JaCarta U2F (2015)

JaCarta U2F acts as a USB Human Interface Device (keyboard), does not require additional drivers and is recognized by a wide range of software platforms and devices.

JaCarta U2F provides two-factor user authentication against several accounts at once only by presenting the token itself and a simplified password (PIN). Since the new device supports the standard U2F protocol developed by the Fast IDentity Online Alliance (FIDO, formed in 2013) for secure strong user authentication without manually entering passwords, it can perform its functions when accessing any online resource on the side of which a server that supports FIDO standards is deployed.

The functionality of this server can be (programmatically) built directly into the application with which the user interacts. The server supports this interaction, provides data storage about all registered users (tokens) of the application, verification of authentication data on access. It can only be configured to work with a specific token type.

The JaCarta U2F token provides secure owner authentication to several (more than half a thousand) online resources. When accessing the resource for the first time, the user must register by entering a login and password (you can use a simplified 4-character), which are stored by the server part of the support for the U2F protocol on the resource side. The token then generates a key pair for authentication on the resource and passes the public key to the U2F server of the resource. The server generates a resource identifier and an authentication key pair identifier and passes them to the token.

If the user wants to connect to a resource where his U2F token is already registered, after entering a login and (simplified) password (uniform for all resources with which the user interacts), the U2F server of the resource will form an additional request that contains the resource identifier and the identifier of the key pair generated on the token during registration. After that, by clicking on the token button, the user must confirm the access to the resource. By the resource identifier, the U2F token selects the desired key pair, signs the request on the private key and sends it to the U2F server, which checks the signature under the request and provides (or denies) access.

According to the developer company, the new authentication tool is not a cryptographic information protection tool (CIPF), which eliminates the need for the user to issue an FSB license and at the same time simplifies and reduces the cost of using the device. At the same time, U2F technology protects against phishing and man-in-the-middle attacks. In addition, since each key pair is associated with the URL of an online resource, when trying to replace the resource ID, the signature of the request on the server will not be verified.

Aladdin R.D. sees among customers, first of all, owners of a wide range of online resources, interested in secure access of customers and companies that will decide to offer online authentication as a service.

JaCarta GOST is certified with "personal means of EP"

On June 16, 2014, Aladdin R.D. announced that it had received a certificate of conformity from the FSB of Russia for the Cryptotoken EP Personal Electronic Signature Tool, intended for use in conjunction with Cryptotoken CIPF as part of the JaCarta GOST product.

Certificate of the FSB of Russia No. SF/121-2350 was issued on March 20, 2014. It indicates that Cryptotoken EP, as part of the JaCarta GOST product line, meets the requirements for electronic signatures approved by Order of the FSB of Russia dated December 27, 2011 No. 796, established for class KS1 and class KS2, and can be used to implement the functions of electronic signature (electronic signature creation, electronic signature verification, electronic signature key creation, electronic signature verification key creation) in accordance with the Federal Law of April 6, 2011 No. 63-FZ "On Electronic Signature."

One of the main advantages of the solution is the ability to visualize the signed electronic document and form an electronic display only after receiving confirmation from the user. The product provides a secure high-level interface, while there is no requirement for mandatory case studies to be built in correctly.

"Recently,
quite a lot of certified EP products have appeared on the market that meet the requirements of the 63-FZ. However, according to the rules of use, all of them are intended for use in automated systems that operate without human participation, while they do not have built-in visualization tools. Implementation of visualization functions in the application system means conducting new case studies on the correctness of embedding and implementation and obtaining a new conclusion. And this is time and money. In our new product, we tried to remove this "headache" from our development partners and customers, "said Sergey Gruzdev, CEO of Aladdin R.D.

JaCarta GOST refers to secure devices of the Secure Signature Creation Device class, fully complies with international requirements for devices for creating signatures in accordance with Directive 1999/93/YeS - on the procedure for using electronic signatures in the European Community.

The compatibility of Secure MicroSD tokens JaCarta GOST and "Continent" has been confirmed T-10

The companies "Security Code" and "Aladdin R.D." announced in December 2014 the completion of tests for the compatibility of Secure MicroSD tokens JaCarta GOST and CIPF "Continent-AP" version 3.6 (version 8) based on the tablet computer "Continent T-10."

The compatibility certificate signed by the companies confirms the correctness of the JaCarta GOST electronic keys in the Secure MicroSD form factor with CIPF "Continent-AP" version 3.6 (version 8) based on the Continent T-10 tablet computer.

Today, Continent T-10 is the first tablet computer on the Russian market with built-in cryptographic protection of confidential information, designed for secure remote access to the corporate network from mobile devices, as well as protection of video conferencing and IP telephony with users of corporate mobile devices.

To store private keys and user public key certificates, the solution uses Secure microSD-tokens JaCarta GOST, which can be used to work both on a tablet or smartphone, or on a laptop or personal computer.

Description

By the beginning of December 2013, the company created two families of JaCarta products:

  • JaCarta PKI - designed for strict two- and three-factor user authentication in corporate and state IT systems
  • JaCarta GOST - to ensure the legal significance of user actions when working with various electronic services.

Realization

The new JaCarta platform is powered by the latest Secure by design smart card chips - designed as secure and for security purposes. They have built-in protection against cloning, hacking and other special attacks (which is extremely important when creating strict authentication and display tools), comply with the international security profile Smart Card Protection Profile, have passed CAST and EMVCo certification, support a full set of "Western" and certified domestic cryptography.
