2019: Agreement with Orange Business Services on connection of Mobileye 8 Connect to IoT

On September 19, 2019 the Orange Business Services company reported that the Mobileye company selected it for ensuring connections of the product Mobileye 8 Connect to Internet of Things (IoT). This system is designed not only to make roads safer, but also to provide municipalities and utility companies this, necessary for monitoring of infrastructure during creation of the smart cities. Mobileye 8 Connect is one more step to emergence of autonomous vehicles.

Mobileye selected the solution of Orange Business Services for ensuring connections of the product Mobileye 8 Connect to IoT

As noted in Orange Business Services, the Mobileye 8 Connect system "sees" the road using cameras and is intended for installation practically on any existing car. She offers drivers of technology of prevention of collisions, based on information on behavior of the driver, data on a situation on the road and instruments of warning of incidents in real time. So, for example, a system can distinguish pedestrians in low-light-level conditions. It will allow drivers and to the organizations considerably to reduce the number of accidents and also expenses on insurance payments.

According to Orange Business Services, data of Mobileye 8 Connect will play an important role during creation of the cards of high resolution describing static infrastructure - for example, covers of hatches, towers of communication and a mast of lighting - and dynamically changing situation, including open parking spaces, traffic jams and hollows. The dash camera collects data both for mapping of autonomous vehicles, and for the city services and the companies which are responsible for maintenance of the existing infrastructure and the utility systems.

The Mobileye company selected the solution of Orange Business Services for ensuring connections to IoT in Europe, the USA and Asia. More than 500 agreements on roaming signed between Orange Business Services and local providers guarantee to users of Mobileye uninterrupted communication both in the countries, and when moving from one region to another. Mobileye 8 Connect conforms to the GDPR standard (The general regulations of the EU on personal data protection): all collected data are anonymous that guarantees to users confidentiality. Also Orange Business Services provides the single centralized platform of control of SIM cards for simplification of the reporting and a customer support.

As of September, 2019 in the different countries and the cities already begin to use Mobileye 8 Connect. The head transport department of Spain is going to use this technology for increase in traffic safety and preparation for emergence on roads of pilotless vehicles. And in Düsseldorf (Germany) Mobileye 8 Connect is used for assessment of the existing city infrastructure and its suitability for the autonomous and connected cars.
