2020: Implementation of Ansys SPEOS and Ansys VRXperience

On February 25, 2020 the KADFEM of Si — Ah-Es company, the distributor of software of Ansys in Russia reported that Ansys will allow to create virtual prototypes of solutions of AEye to accelerate design, testing and check of technologies of perception for transport in the conditions of difficult scenarios of the real world.

Thanks to technologies of AEye and ANSYS companies the next generation of autonomous vehicles will imitate how a human eye is focused and estimates road condition. AEye implements solutions of ANSYS for computational modeling when developing the iDAR platform (Intelligent Detection and Ranging), giving to users the chance to reduce quantity of physical prototypes and also to increase security and reliability of autonomous systems.

For protection of autonomous driving sensors, quickly and precisely analyzing some dangerous scenarios on the road are required. Normal platforms of recognition cannot authentically define them. For check of efficiency of sensors it is necessary to execute successfully comprehensively road testing requiring considerable costs of time and funds for development. Thanks to ANSYS AEye gives the chance to car makers to model road situations on many kilometers for few days, minimizing physical prototyping.

AEye implements Ansys SPEOS and Ansys VRXperience, tools for modeling of driving and also touch models on the basis of physical processes in AEye iDAR construction. It will give to users the chance to quickly test and certify the iDAR projects in realistic virtual environment of driving. AEye iDAR for the automobile systems integrates the determined perception and recognition based on artificial intelligence. It allows to provide detection and classification at a high speed and with the broad range that normal LiDAR sensors or cameras cannot do. Thanks to integration the clients from the automotive industry releasing autonomous vehicles and the advanced systems of the help to the driver (ADAS) will be able virtually to create a prototype of flexibly configured LiDAR AEye for exact modeling of the perception of the environment.
