On September 20, 2018 provided to Amazon several devices with support of the voice assistant to Alexa. Among them — even the microwave oven which became the first in own way.

Thanks to integration with the virtual assistant there are also modules of wireless communication Wi-Fi the microwave which received the name AmazonBasics Microwave can be controlled by voice. For example, having given the "Alexa, Warm Up a Cup of Coffee" command, the device will turn on in the corresponding mode. In the same way it is possible to ask to increase the timer, say, for 30 seconds.

AmazonBasics Microwave will recognize a set of dishes and their quantity and can adapt to these data. For example, the user tells "Alexa, make one potato", and the device determines small time and suitable power on the timer.

It is possible to activate the voice assistant and by clicking of the button Ask Alexa furnaces — in this case it is possible to give commands to the household appliance directly — without microphones and Internet connection. Thus it is possible to set the settings "2 minutes", "the frozen vegetables", etc.

Also the producer pays attention to support of the Dash Replenishment service providing the automatic goods delivery with Amazon.com. By September 20, 2018 it is possible to order only popcorn. Using data on quantity of aktivation of the program of preparation of popcorn, the microwave sends the seller a request for delivery of this cinema of a product, popular with fans.

The physical sizes of the device are    439 x 359 x 256 mm, weight — 9.9 kg.

AmazonBasics Microwave will go on sale on November 14, 2018 and will cost $60.

On AmazonBasics Microwave presentation the Amazon company stated that Alexa support more than 20 thousand "smart" home devices from 3500 brands, and users connect tens of millions of units of such home appliances to the voice assistant.^[1]
