BI.ZONE Fraud Prevention builds a client's behavioral model and defines its operations as "legitimate," "suspicious," or "fraudulent." Depending on the verdict, transactions either pass without obstacles or are blocked.

2020: Inclusion in the register of domestic software

The BI.Zone Fraud Prevention (BFP) platform is officially registered by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation in the register of domestic software. This was announced on May 13, 2020 by BI.Zone.

In 2020, in 90% of cases, criminals use social engineering methods for attacks - as a result, deceived people themselves report their personal and payment data to attackers, and sometimes transfer money to their own account. To lull the vigilance of the victims, fraudsters are preparing for attacks: they previously collect open personal information on the Internet, and also purchase stolen data in the "shadow" segment of the Web - darknet, including scanned images of passports, driver's licenses and other documents.

BFP helps to cope with such attacks: the platform tracks all transactions made by bank customers and assesses them in a fraction of a second in terms of potential risk. BFP easily detects both well-known cases of cyber fraud and completely new ones with the help of machine-based algorithm training. If a suspicious operation is detected, the platform can block or suspend it to request additional confirmation from the client. As a rule, this is a phone call to the bank user support service. Based on the results of the conversation, legitimate operations are confirmed, fraudulent ones are blocked, and information is entered into the platform database.

By tracking the financial transactions of bank customers and connected outlets, the BFP platform compiles their digital profiles. So, when a bank customer performs typical actions for him, BFP can help to abandon additional security requirements - for example, using the second factor when making a standard monthly payment to a mobile operator or paying for products in the store where the client goes every day. This simplifies the lives of ordinary users, and also allows you to identify fraudulent actions in the early stages - if the user behaves atypically, then BFP will immediately stop the transaction.
