Workspace Cloud View, 2015

During the tests of Citrix Workspace Cloud, experts evaluated the solution, noting that it allows you to implement projects based on virtualization technologies faster and easier. In some cases, system administrators were able to create a complete virtual desktop environment for 50 users in a few minutes.

The cloud platform has simplified the deployment of virtual applications and desktops by eliminating the need to create a host infrastructure and configure virtual application and desktop components.

Most cloud services combine management tasks and workloads into a single cloud for added usability, forcing IT to weaken control over workload placement.  Citrix Workspace Cloud offers an architecture that keeps IT professionals in control of where workloads are deployed and running. By implementing all cloud management , Citrix Workspace Cloud gives sales partners greater flexibility  to add additional services to their offering package. The platform makes it even easier and faster for them to design and implement tailored solutions.

Citrix Workspace Cloud includes service packages:

  • Virtual desktops:  package with a monthly cost of $20/user. Allows IT professionals in secure mode to provide any type of virtual desktop to any device with a high level of user satisfaction. Unlike other virtual desktop services, this package provides exceptional flexibility for providing desktops running Windows or Linux. The package contains file exchange and synchronization services, ready-made projects for quick deployment.
  • Virtual applications and desktops:  full package with monthly cost of $35/user. Enables IT to deliver Windows and Linux applications, browsers, and desktops to any device with high levels of security, performance, and deployment flexibility. As part of this package, there are various functions for developing, editing and deploying projects for applications and desktops, for effective monitoring and management.
  • Integrated Application and Data Suite : An integrated desktop package with a monthly cost of $40/user that includes all the functionality of the Virtual Applications and desktops package, plus mobile device and application management features and the software needed to organize the workflow.
  • Lifecycle Management  - Operating packages include the full range of features for developing, editing, and deploying application and desktop projects, and for effectively monitoring and managing deployments. The entry-level package is offered free of charge to Citrix customers who currently use the Software Maintenance service. Other packages are available from $2.5/user.

"With Citrix Workspace Cloud, we are opening virtualization and VDI technologies to a new group of customers for whom these technologies have been too complex or expensive in the past. Citrix Workspace Cloud is the only delivery platform that provides partners and customers with the widest choice of infrastructures, "said Sergey Halyapin, head of Citrix systems engineers in Russia and the CIS countries
.
