The Indian branch MTS in April, 2011 announced opening of new cloud DPC in the city of Noida to the northwest from Delhi.

New DPC – already the third data center of MTS in this country, and on performance it exceeds two previous: in Chennai and Jaipur. As well as the previous DPCs, new data center it is created for MTS by IBM company, reported in the press release.

At construction of DPC the latest "green" technologies were used: the intelligent system of management of the building (BMS — building management system) allows to conduct the round-the-clock monitoring of the current parameters for the purpose of more efficient use of energy and increase in security.

CIO "MTS India" Rajeev Batra noted that input of new data center is a part of corporate strategy on transition to cloud computing of processing and data storage. Distinctive feature of new data center — the minimum volumes of emission of a carbon dioxide gas.

The area of new data center will be about 2000 square meters. It is expected that data centers in Noida and in Chennai will work together with a possibility of dynamic redistribution of loading between two data centers. With commissioning of the new center computing powers of MTS India should double.

MTS-India is the brand belonging to Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) company – to AFK Sistema joint venture and Shyam group. AFK "Sistema" owns 73.71% of the stocks Sistema Shyam TeleServices.
