2020: Emergence in elevators

At the end of March, 2020 the technology company Easpeed which is based near Shanghai received more than 100 orders for panels with holographic buttons for elevators. Thus the Chinese citizens try to reduce risk of transfer of a coronavirus in contact ways of transfer.

The device projects the image of buttons in air and allows users "touch" them. The producer claims that the similar panel with holographic buttons can be installed on all elevators, and response time makes less than 30 milliseconds.

In elevators there were holographic buttons to minimize contacts against the background of a coronavirus pandemic

A system is rather expensive, its cost is about $2000 therefore some owners of buildings prefer option in the form of the upgraded voice actuation of elevators - such devices cost about $500. However the vice president of Easpeed Zhu Yongzhi noted that the accuracy of voice actuation varies depending on the noise level and also from language and a dialect speaking.

Meanwhile it is known that panels with holographic buttons were set in city hospitals Ichang to the Province of Hubei and in the Beijing hospital Xiaotangshan. Zhu Yongzhi claims that the company the company also received orders from Shanghai, Beijing and Hangzhou in east Chinese province of Zhejiang. He also assumed that upon transition of Easpeed to mass production the price of panels with holographic buttons can fall.

Nevertheless in the conditions of the increased demand of Easpeed it was not the only company which offers a contactless method of a call of elevators. So, for example, Huawei developed the application which allows users to call elevators and to select the floor using the mobile phone. For now the Chinese citizens use normal handles, toothpicks and keys for an elevator call or just walk upstairs.[1]
