2020: Card issue

At the beginning of April, 2020 Fold startup which created the application for purchases with support of bitcoins joined the program to support of Visa Fast Track financial technical-developer. Thanks to this Fold issued the debit card Fold Rewards Card which will allow the user to receive a cashback in bitcoins instead of traditional bonus points at payment of purchases in dollars.

In the press release the head of Visa Global Fintech Terry Angelos noted that Fold joined the program which offers "unprecedented access to experts, technologies and the Visa resources". Representatives of Fold reported that they became the first participants of an initiative of Viste Fintech Fast Track from the cryptocurrency industry.

The debit card Visa for receiving a cashback in bitcoins is issued

Visa started this program for acceleration of integration about a blockchain startups and to take part in this program, the Fold company underwent serious testing of financial performance, a marketing plan and stability of business.

The new debit card Visa will be issued in the 3rd quarter 2020. Poll in which about 30,000 users of Fold participated showed that 90% are ready "move expenses from the existing card" on the card about bitcoin-keshbekom.

The Fold company opened the waiting list for registration of the interested users. Many of them already receive up to 20% of a cashback in bitcoins, for example, when they use the option Lightning Network and when buy gift cards of partners of Fold, such as Starbucks, Uber and Target. With the new debit card Visa users will be able to receive cryptocurrency, paying with dollars any purchases.

The investor of Fold Russell Okung is sure that the Fold Visa card will become "a considerable stage at way to mass acceptance of bitcoin". And Visa expects that soon later other participants of the cryptocurrency industry also will join an initiative of Viste Fintech Fast Track.^[1]
