Foreman Monitoring system of industrial equipment

Foreman is a domestic monitoring system of industrial equipment.

SMPO Foreman is development of the Leningrad department of the Central research Institute of Technology (LO TSNITI).

Among the main technology achievements of SMPO Foreman:

  • creation of the native application under Apple Watch
  • start of the Russia's first application for monitoring of operation of machines using augmented reality (Augmented Reality).
    • Pointing the camera of the mobile device at the machine, it is possible to see over its image the comprehensive information about a status, parameters, need of maintenance or repair.

2018: Acquisition by Digit of the rights to a system

The Tsifra company developing technologies of industrial Internet of Things and artificial intelligence acquired the rights to a monitoring system of industrial equipment of Foreman. As a result of the transaction the system developer AO LO TSNITI becomes the partner of Tsifra and reseller SMPO Foreman, continues to perform deliveries and to give technical support to users of a system.

As noted, SMPO Foreman (St. Petersburg) became the second product "Digits" in the direction of industrial Internet of Things. In September, 2017 the company invested in a similar product — the AIS "Manager" (Smolensk).

Until the end of 2020 Digit she intends to enclose to 1 billion rubles on completion of these systems and integration. A project objective — to provide to industrial holdings the system of the next generation with artificial intelligence for production digitalization.

The interest of the Russian enterprises in Internet of Things and monitoring systems in particular already outgrew the level of "startups". Consolidation of technology commands and resources of Digit will allow to bring our developments on monitoring of industrial equipment to the level of large industrial holdings and to adapt to requests of food production, power and even retail. Our clients will receive all additional functionality within current contracts — Andrey Lovygin, the development director of the international business Digit said.

According to the company, more than 3600 machines in 140 enterprises for the whole country, including a number of the enterprises of state corporations Rostec and Rosatom Rostselmash , etc. are in total connected to monitoring systems of Foreman and Manager. According to average assessment if to increase efficiency of industrial capacities of the large Russian plant with the park in 500 machines only by 10% due to connection of the equipment to to Internet of Things, then its revenue can increase to 730 million rubles a year, specified in Digit.

Lack of industrial data — the main barrier to industry digitalization. In Russia, as of February, 2018, no more than 10% of machines are connected to industrial Internet of Things, this quantity annually doubles. Implementation of monitoring systems allows to increase performance of industrial enterprise at least by 10%, and on average — for 25%, and the solution less than in 12 months pays off — Pavel Rastopshin, the managing director of Digit claims.
