2017: Creation of electric cars with charging in 15 minutes

At the beginning of November, 2017 the Japanese carmaker Honda Motor announced intention to solve one of the main problems preventing mass implementation of electric vehicles. By 2022 the company is going to release electric cars for which charge of accumulators there will be enough only 15 minutes, Nikkei tells.[1]

According to the edition, the majority of modern cars on an elektotyaga needs at least half an hour to charge the batteries for 80%, even when using special high-speed chargers. Honda promises to cut this time by half and in five years to release electric vehicles to which there will be enough 15-minute recharge of accumulators to pass 240 km.

Is going to develop high-capacious accumulators with support of superfast charging for implementation of the plan of Honda. As of November, 2017, the Japanese producer buys batteries for the hybrid cars from Panasonic and other vendors, but further the company wants to release own accumulators created together with the partner whose name will be told is later.

Besides, for increase in a run of the electric vehicle on one charging of Honda she intends to facilitate its body and to improve the automated control system for power supply.

By data for 2017, in Japan the maximum power output of high-speed charging stations is 150 kW, but in 2020 is going to increase it up to 350 kW. It is supposed that by this time in Europe the whole network of several thousand charging points will work with such power, than and Honda is going to use.

Meanwhile, is going to accelerate a charging interval of accumulators also the Nissan company releasing one of the most mass electric vehicles in the world — Nissan Leaf. Modification of Leaf of 2018 will be able not only quicker to be loaded, but also to leave further on one charge: the run will increase by 30% and will make more than 500 km, promise in Nissan.
