2020: Start of service

In July, 2020 the Agency on  anti-corruption of Kazakhstan started service for tracking of use of budget money. He received the name Publicbudget.kz and represents the interactive map on which a detailed information about  the allocated budgetary funds is in real time displayed.

Authors of the project at its implementation pursued the following aims:

  • simplification  of an information access;
  • increase in the trust level of citizens to  the state;
  • providing information on use of budget money in available to the population of a form to control of the public expenditures;
  • creation of the effective dialogue platform.

Anti-corruption department of Kazakhstan started service for tracking of use of budget money

On the website it is possible to browse top-5 budgets from different spheres among which — education, health care, transport and roads.

Since launch of Publicbudget.kz service by July 9, 2020 more than 17 thousand public institutions in Kazakhstan published information about about 8.3 trillion tenge of budgetary funds, a half of which became available in 2020 (4.08 trillion tenge).  In total open budgets browsed more than 1 million times based on what 505 comments of citizens are left.

 The anti-corruption agency urges all not indifferent citizens to exercise public control using card opportunities in the online mode.

 Today the card became the efficient mechanism of public control and  implementation of order of the President on  creation of "The hearing state"  , says department.

It is recommended to heads of state agencies to speed up work on increase in openness and transparency of activity, conducting control on further implementation of the interactive map, carrying out state procurements and also to develop complex measures for anti-corruption.[1]
