On August 6, 2019 it became known that researchers of security from the Tencent Blade group detected in a WLAN system firmware on Snapdragon crystal from Qualcomm two dangerous vulnerabilities which operation is able to allow the malefactor to crack the modem and a kernel of Android on a wireless network.

Snapdragon 850 is the first processor of Qualcomm for Windows computers

At the beginning of June, 2018 the Qualcomm company provided the first in the range processor intended for personal computers running Windows. The chip under the name Snapdragon 850  is shown at the Computex 2018 exhibition in Taipei.

Snapdragon 850 works at clock rate up to 2.96 GHz and works for 30% quicker in comparison with the Snapdragon 835 model. Both processors are based on 10-nanometer technology process.

In Snapdragon 850 the graphic accelerator and eight computing cores of Qualcomm Kyro 385 is used. The chip supports HDR displays and shooting of video in permission 4K from the built-in camera. Affirms that the processor will allow to create "always the connected computers" (Always Connected PC). The Engadget portal specifies that Snapdragon 850 is created especially for Windows electronics.

Qualcomm promises emergence of the first devices with Snapdragon 850 in a basis during 2018. Several producers, including Samsung, already showed willingness to produce the equipment using this processor. Samsung intends to create hybrid notebooks based on Snapdragon 850, but did not call exact terms of an exit of products.[3]

Snapdragon XR1 is the first-ever special VR chip

The graphic path of the chip is equipped with the additional signal processor of images (ISP), Qualcomm Spectra 280. The release of the mobile platform Snapdragon 636 to consumer market is expected in November, 2017.

The first Snapdragon 835 PC processor

At the end of May, 2017 Qualcomm announced the first processor for personal computers. The chip under the name Snapdragon 835 has several advantages in comparison with solutions of Intel which dominate in the PC industry.

Snapdragon 210

On February 27, 2017 Qualcomm announced the single-crystal Snapdragon 210 system with support operating system Android Things.

2016: Snapdragon 835

The processor has the module of security Qualcomm Haven which provides hardware support of the fingerprint scanner and user authentication on a retina or the person entirely. Haven is also responsible for creation of the tokens used for payment of purchases by means of phone and also for verification of signatures of applications and safe loading of a system.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is focused on bonus devices of the consumer and corporate level, including smartphones, helmets of virtual/augmented reality, the IP camera, tablets, mobile computers and different gadgets based on Android and Windows 10.
