Quorum: EDSmart the System of the protected exchange of documents

EDSmart is the system of the protected exchange electronic payment both office information messages between banks and divisions of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

The solution is implemented according to requirements of Provision 552-P "About security requirements of information in payment system of the Bank of Russia".

2019: Possibility of final reconciliation of electronic messages

On March 14, 2019 the Kvorum company announced release of the next version of the EDSmart software product intended for ensuring the protected information exchange of electronic messages on an album format UFEBM (The Unified Formats of Electronic Bank Messages) between commercial banks and payment system of the Bank of Russia upon transition to use of an automated workplace of KBR-N and an automated workplace of KBR-SPFS.

The next version of EDSmart has a number of the additional functionality allowing to make process of information exchange more reliable, convenient and effective. In particular, for the purpose of ensuring bigger security of process the possibility of final reconciliation of the electronic messages which are completely prepared for sending and signed with primary data which were used during their creation in the systems sources of bank is implemented.

Expansion of functionality of a system concerned such areas as automation of the routine procedures connected with damage correspondence between participants of process on refining of details of electronic payment messages. Procedures of preparation and message exchange in a free format and the SWIFT format using a transmission system of financial messages of the Bank of Russia are implemented. The block of functions providing interaction of participating banks with the System of Fast Payments (SFP) regarding control and the liquidity management of the account of the participant in SBP, formations of requests and obtaining information on the list of the orders performed in SBP (the potranzaktsionny register) and also reconciliations of transactions and turnovers according to the register with data in the accounting system of bank (core banking system) is added.

The ideas of a considerable part of functional completions which we implemented and included in upgraded version of the product EDSmart were developed together with our clients in the course of system implementation. Free remote demo access

The Kvorum company in March, 2018 suggested to be connected free of charge in the remote mode to the demoversion of the specialized solution of EDSmart providing to bank when using the core banking system of any vendor complete technology readiness for use of KBR automated workplace PC H.

Now specialists of commercial banks will be able, without leaving jobs, to study independently functionality of the solution, to study installation processes and verifications of the electronic signature on payment and office information messages, to approve ergonomics of the developed user interfaces, to be convinced of convenience of services of monitoring and control of processing of outgoing and incoming messages, to estimate flexibility of mechanisms of setup of intrasystem rules and regulations in the EDSmart system.

Remote work with the demoversion of the EDSmart system is performed through VPN connection. Specialists of the company carry out necessary consulting and technical works on implementation of remote access.

Start of sales

The Kvorum company in January, 2018 announced the beginning of sales of the specialized solution intended for the protected exchange electronic payment both by office information messages between banks and divisions of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

EDSmart represents the core banking system-independent full-function module which is meeting all requirements to installation process and verifications of the electronic signature on payment and office information messages and having the developed user interface allowing to exercise monitoring and control over processing of outgoing and incoming messages.

In addition to the main objective on protection of electronic messages with ispolzovany protective codes and codes of authentication, Quorum implemented a number of additional opportunities. For example, along with loading from external systems, the structure of EDSmart includes the component allowing to create any message provided in an album UFEBM (the unified formats of electronic bank messages), directly in the module. For input and editing such messages the module generates screen forms dynamically on the basis of the metadata which are contained in XML schemes of Unified format of electronic banking messages. In case of change of formats of the existing messages or emergence new it is enough to users of the module to update a set of the corresponding XSD files.

For more difficult logical control the structure of EDSmart includes special library of the rules defining conditions of filling of attributes of messages, regulations of formation of packets of messages, an assignment order to fields of messages of values by default and other conditions. For example, using similar rules it is possible to set prohibition on inclusion more than one message with ED462 type in "A packet of ES for transactions with cash (PacketCash).

In general when developing EDSmart the task to transfer all service functions which were present at old ARM'E of KBR to the module was set, but were excluded from ARM'A by KBR-new. It is about monitoring of flows of the entering and outgoing messages, formation and extraction of messages from ED501/ED503 both other convenient functions and tools which, undoubtedly, will be useful to any bank with any IT landscape — Igor Vinogradov, the commercial director of Kvorum company noted.

EDSmart corresponds to the regulations described in information messages of the interregional information processing center (IIPC) of the Bank of Russia No. 3 of 1/19/2017, No. 17 of 1/24/2017, No. 58 of 6/5/2017 and No. 94 of 10/27/2017 and keeps order of use of protective codes and codes of authentication in option of protection of electronic messages according to the document of the Bank of Russia "The unified formats of electronic bank messages.
