2017: Rostec: Messenger

In May, 2017 it became known that State corporation "Rostec" and also the Russian companies "OMMG Technologies" and "Maynd Labs" work on creation of a prototype of the unified communications system for the state departments and the industry. Actually, Skype ^[1] the speech about creation of a domestic analog with the high level of protection and information security^[2].

Development of communications system is conducted based on developments of Bulat companies - child structure of the joint holding "Ruselectronics" (enters into Rostec Group) and Rostelecom.

In development the communication framework (messenger) of OMMG 3.0, service of video and audio conferences from Maynd company and the hardware and software system of Bulat company integrating the server of a multipoint conference and a terminal professional equipment is used.

The unified system combines possibilities of telephony and the messenger. It allows to make voice and video calls, to send text messages and also files of any format to one or several subscribers in corporate network. A system can be applied in the organizations and organizations as an information security standard.

It is by default supposed that the communications system has no Internet access thanks to what, including, it will not be able to be cracked and decrypted by hackers and also foreign intelligence agencies.

The project of creation of the protected communications system is at a stage of creation of a working prototype.

2016: RT-Inform: The messenger for government employees

The messenger for government employees - the online messenger. Development is executed within instructions of the Government of the Russian Federation - to oblige officials to use only domestic goods of this class. The Institute of Development of the Internet (IDI), the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications and Rostelecom create the working group under the project of creation of the protected Internet messenger for state agencies and public industries.

It is supposed what will be responsible the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications for questions of certification and cryptoprotection of the new messenger, Rostelecom will provide expert and technical support. Later the company will consider options of further participation in the project. Perhaps, as the operator hoster and the owner of base of contacts.

On June 9, 2016 RT-Inform company of Rostec state corporation it became known of development^[3].

Officials need the safe messenger, (2016)

The messenger is expected work in operating systems Windows Linux, iOS and Android. Among functions of a product: support of group chats, audio-and video conferences, other instruments of joint work. After completion of testing the product will be offered employees Rostec.

Recently it is much told about need of creation of the domestic messenger which could guarantee to the Russian companies and state structures a reliable communication. Among possible "polygons for a running in" of messengers – the Federal Bailiff Service (FBS) which agreed to test the messenger based on one of territorial authorities, Russian Post and administration of KhMAO.

If to proceed from data of the Ministry of Finance on 108 government employees on 10,000 Russians, the audience of the state messenger can make up to 1.58 million people.
