Completion of development of S-Tag Elastic Mega 100

On March 24, 2020 Siltek Group announced that engineers of the company developed flexible UHF a RFID tag from S-TAG "ELASTIC MEGA 100" elastomer. Production is ready to its serial release.

Construction of a tag allows it to be bent in all planes therefore, generally it is intended for remote identification of the objects made of different materials, especially - soft and shapeless. For example, bags, Big bags or objects of irregular curvilinear or radial shape (pipes, bundles with wires). The feature of ELASTIC MEGA 100 is that it can be sewn to an object by a fishing line or a rope up to 3 mm in the diameter.

ELASTIC MEGA 100 is the ideal solution for marking of soft containers with loose and liquid loads. The flexible elastic tag is very convenient: it does not damage container material when stacking and loading works. It has no acute angles therefore it will not be hooked for the next container, will not break through it. This tag has the increased antenna area and high stable range of reading – up to 20 m of ELASTIC MEGA 100 is hermetic, all-weather therefore application in the conditions of open air and in the heavy, contaminated conditions, in aggressive environments with acids and alkalis, in the temperature range from-60 ºС to +85 ºС is allowed. Use at high temperatures with peak heating to 120 °C (no more than 1 minute) is possible.

Start in serial production of S-Tag 3D mini

On February 27, 2020 the Siltek Group company reported that it together with Mikron Group put in serial production a product of the 3D S-Tag series – supercompact round UHF a RFID tag of metallic objects, 3D mini for remote identification.

According to the company, the tag jointly designed by engineers Siltek and Micron is intended for marking of objects from metal: machines and the equipment, containers and a turnover container, industrial robots, transport, other mechanisms and devices on industrial productions. Construction of tags of the 3D series provides a big distance of reading at different options of positioning – not less than 5 meters that allows to identify far off and quickly all accounting items which are at this distance. Material of the body is completely hermetic, steady against environmental activity and is expected long term of service.

The main feature of a tag of S-Tag 3D mini in a small size – its diameter only 38 mm, fastening it is possible on one screw. Such is there was a market request: on the compact device with simple installation, big range and work on metal.

RFID tags for metal have a broad spectrum of application and can be used in a number of solutions - for control of a counterfeit, automation of production and logistic processes, an inventory control, control of distribution and in marketing tasks. S-Tag JD-mini release

On February 14, 2020 the Siltek group announced release on the market of compact budget korpusirovanny UHF S-Tag JD-mini RFID tag.

This tag has reading range to 18 m. It is intended for remote identification of the objects made of different materials – plastic, ceramics, a tree, cardboard. The body of a tag is made from UF-stoykogo the material ABS, production from polypropylene for use in aggressive environments on demand is possible. Operation temperature range - from-40 ºС to +90 ºС.

S-Tag JD-mini was specially developed for application mainly out of premises. S-Tag JD-mini can be applied on objects from metal, but with decrease in range of reading to 1.4 m. If necessary and on demand range can be increased due to installation of other chips.

Readiness for S-Tag SCAT start

On November 27, 2019 the Siltek Group reported that it is ready to start of serial production of reusable RFID tags of S-TAG SCAT.

S-TAG SCAT is all-weather, hermetic and has a protection class on IP69, is applied on any objects. Nonerasable marking can be applied on a tag.

Siltek is designed by engineers the compact body of a label for animals based on specially developed for this concept by RFID UHF of a tag by laboratory of Micron.

Construction of the label including the core, the antenna and the UHF chip allows to save radio physical properties of a tag and provides stable data reading on a body of an animal in different operational conditions. The body of a label is executed of the high-quality polyurethane not allergenic for animals. It is attached to an ear of an animal using the universal standard birkacha-applicator.

It is compact passive RFID UHF a label for animals with the high range of reading using mobile and stationary readers. Diameter - 34 mm, the volume of programmable memory of EPC - 128 bits. This memory is enough for identification of individuals and medical indicators. Data can be integrated into uniform information base of a farm.

The first samples of labels for November, 2019 are ready and pass test.

Serial production of S-Tag 3D M and S-Tag 3D Slim M

On October 17, 2019 the Siltek group announced start in serial production of korpusirovanny RFID tags of S-Tag 3D M and S-Tag 3D Slim M with fastenings on neodymium magnets.

Tags are intended for remote identification of objects from different types of metal at any enterprises and productions, including transport containers, industrial equipment and objects of the warehouse and logistic companies, the space and automobile industry, the oil and gas industry.

The feature of S-Tag 3D M is that it can be used as in the enclosed space, and in the open air, all the year round. The tag is completely hermetic, has the index of protection against water and dust (Ingress Protection) IP69. Neodymium magnets provide force of adhesion to 10 kg on a separation.

S-Tag 3D Slim M is suitable for objects without mounting holes and if there is no opportunity or desires to drill and spoil a surface, to select bolts, to cut a thread and so on. It is easy to set a tag, it keeps strong and reliably. At the same time it is rather simple to remove it if to shift, and then to reuse. Slim M is optimal when fast inventory as the range of its reading - up to 20 meters is necessary,

On September 10, 2019 the Siltek company reported that it in technology partnership with Mikron Group released a line of shock-resistant korpusirovanny RFID of tags for marking of objects on metal under the 3D brand with the raised reading distance.

According to the company, in intellectual and technology partnership of the company developed a series of the Russian korpusirovanny tags of a different dimension 3D (93*24.8*13.2 mm) and 3D Slim (60.3*20*6 mm) with a distance of reading from 8 to 20 meters.

Thanks to competences of materials science specialists of the Siltek plant designed appearance of a product, picked up the material and a form factor of the body providing stability in corrosive working conditions and mechanical protection of the transponder, created powerful production base for serial release of the range of RFID tags.

In turn, engineers of RFID laboratory of Micron designed and calibrated the electronic part of a product which is combined with geometry and material of a tag, strengthening a signal at placements on metal surfaces.

Tests of tags with UHF standard RFID chips on frost resistance

On August 27, 2019 the department of quality of ALPHA — Siltek company (enters into Siltek group) reported that it at the request of one of the Russian oil-extracting companies tested the products with RFID tags on frost resistance.

Freezing tests

Korpusirovanny tags with UHF standard RFID chips were subjected to tests: S-tag KEDR, S-tag B-ton, S-tag ELASTIC, S-tag MMD-1, S-tag QUEST, Alpha M1.

Originally all samples were tested on identification and range of reading at a temperature of +25 degrees Celsius and showed the following results:

  • S-tag «KEDR» - ~20 м,
  • S-tag «B-ton» - ~10 м,
  • S-tag «ELASTIC» - ~10 м,
  • S-tag «MMD-1» - ~12 м,
  • S-tag «QUEST» - ~10 м,
  • M1 alpha - ~ 0.8 m.

Then samples submerged in capacity with water which was placed in the climatic cell before complete freezing of water and gradual achievement of temperature of-60 degrees Celsius. According to test conditions, on tags a sleet not less than 5 mm thick was frozen on. In total products were in such conditions of 30 minutes before complete freezing.

After extraction from the climatic camera multiple definition of the maximum range of reading of the tags which froze in ice was carried out. Results of measurements were similar to the data obtained at a temperature of +25 degrees Celsius that proves complete operability of tags and reliability of RFID technology in the conditions of extremely low temperatures.

Mastering of serial release of korpusirovanny RFID tags of angular positioning of KMS-1 by Micron

On August 20, 2019 the Mikron company reported that it mastered serial release of korpusirovanny RFID tags of angular positioning of KMS-1 (or S-Tag "Kvest") for marking of lampposts in perimeter of the "smart" city.

According to the company, construction of a tag provides wide circulation of the RF signal and allows to consider information and to change data at distance to 14 meters.

Thanks to an angular form of the body of a tag identification of the objects which are at height concerning the reader up to 6 meters is possible. The tag is intended for remote identification, tracking of commissioning and service of an object for the purpose of acceptance of operational management decisions. The radio tag of the ultrahigh-frequency range (UHF) developed by RFID laboratory of Micron has 256-bit memory of EPC and can store data: unique number of a support, geographical coordinates, electric power supply and number of the lighting line, year of commissioning, information on service, characteristics of a support and any other data.

The strong plastic body (157kh35kh26mm) provides the good level of security of the built-in chip from adverse weather conditions and mechanical influences. It is possible to fix a tag by means of strepping-tapes, metal tapes, couplers and other flexible tape means.

Serial production of korpusirovanny tags with RFID technology

On August 15, 2019 the Siltek group announced mastering of serial production of completely domestic korpusirovanny tags with RFID technology for marking of trees for the purpose of counteraction of illegal cabins and also a guarantee of safety of valuable breeds of wood when transporting.

To Korpusirovannye RFID tags of S-Tag "Kedr" and S-Tag "MMD", the device with a radio-frequency identification mark of the UHF standard, are intended for remote recognition and accounting of the wood and valuable breeds of wood.
