S-Tag 3D и 3D Slim

On September 10, 2019 the Siltek company reported that it in technology partnership with Mikron Group released a line of shock-resistant korpusirovanny RFID of tags for marking of objects on metal under the 3D brand with the raised reading distance.

S-Tag «3D» и «3D Slim»

According to the company, in intellectual and technology partnership of the company developed a series of the Russian korpusirovanny tags of a different dimension 3D (93*24.8*13.2 mm) and 3D Slim (60.3*20*6 mm) with a distance of reading from 8 to 20 meters.

Thanks to competences of materials science specialists of the Siltek plant designed appearance of a product, picked up the material and a form factor of the body providing stability in corrosive working conditions and mechanical protection of the transponder, created powerful production base for serial release of the range of RFID tags.

In turn, engineers of RFID laboratory of Micron designed and calibrated the electronic part of a product which is combined with geometry and material of a tag, strengthening a signal at placements on metal surfaces.

We are glad to cooperation with Siltek in development of modern domestic technologies, thanks to joint efforts the improved modifications of tags comparable on functionality and cost with foreign analogs are brought to the Russian market. The further synergy will provide setting in production of products.

Vasily Volosov, the head of group of development of the products RFID and IT of PJSC Mikron told

There comes time of cooperation of competences when the victory is won not by individuals, leaders or the companies, but the partners capable to integrate and together to solve difficult intellectual tasks. It gives powerful synergy effect. We so liked tags that we decided to mark them own production and technology equipment, having improved traceability at service and having reduced the procedure of its inventory by 17 times.

Maxim Selivanov, the head of department of technologies of safety of Siltek told

These tags are steady against a corrosive environment of operation by industrial enterprises and temperature differences. The product line is designed to take the worthy place in domestic projects of radio frequency identification in spheres of the heavy industry, logistics and supply chains. In both companies in plans to continue cooperation and to expand a 3D line with the most compact solution under the Mini brand.

Tests of tags with UHF standard RFID chips on frost resistance

On August 27, 2019 the department of quality of ALPHA — Siltek company (enters into Siltek group) reported that it at the request of one of the Russian oil-extracting companies tested the products with RFID tags on frost resistance.

Freezing tests

Korpusirovanny tags with UHF standard RFID chips were subjected to tests: S-tag KEDR, S-tag B-ton, S-tag ELASTIC, S-tag MMD-1, S-tag QUEST, Alpha M1.

Originally all samples were tested on identification and range of reading at a temperature of +25 degrees Celsius and showed the following results:

  • S-tag «KEDR» - ~20 м,
  • S-tag «B-ton» - ~10 м,
  • S-tag «ELASTIC» - ~10 м,
  • S-tag «MMD-1» - ~12 м,
  • S-tag «QUEST» - ~10 м,
  • M1 alpha - ~ 0.8 m.

Then samples submerged in capacity with water which was placed in the climatic cell before complete freezing of water and gradual achievement of temperature of-60 degrees Celsius. According to test conditions, on tags a sleet not less than 5 mm thick was frozen on. In total products were in such conditions of 30 minutes before complete freezing.

After extraction from the climatic camera multiple definition of the maximum range of reading of the tags which froze in ice was carried out. Results of measurements were similar to the data obtained at a temperature of +25 degrees Celsius that proves complete operability of tags and reliability of RFID technology in the conditions of extremely low temperatures.

Among our customers there are companies which all the year round work in climatic zones with hard winter frosts. Just, for their difficult technology equipment, our specialists chose materials and manufacturing techniques of the body of tags for them, having increased their tightness and frost resistance, having saved at the same time all advantages of technology of radio frequency identification. Such engineering solution is optimal for our country with its extensive open spaces and a climatic variety,
tells Maxim Selivanov, the head of department of technology of safety of Siltek Group

Mastering of serial release of korpusirovanny RFID tags of angular positioning of KMS-1 by Micron

On August 20, 2019 the Mikron company reported that it mastered serial release of korpusirovanny RFID tags of angular positioning of KMS-1 (or S-Tag "Kvest") for marking of lampposts in perimeter of the "smart" city.

Mikron began serial release of korpusirovanny RFID tags for marking of lampposts

According to the company, construction of a tag provides wide circulation of the RF signal and allows to consider information and to change data at distance to 14 meters.

Thanks to an angular form of the body of a tag identification of the objects which are at height concerning the reader up to 6 meters is possible. The tag is intended for remote identification, tracking of commissioning and service of an object for the purpose of acceptance of operational management decisions. Data can be integrated into uniform information base.

Ilya Chistyakov, the project director of PJSC Mikron told

The radio tag of the ultrahigh-frequency range (UHF) developed by RFID laboratory of Micron has 256-bit memory of EPC and can store data: unique number of a support, geographical coordinates, electric power supply and number of the lighting line, year of commissioning, information on service, characteristics of a support and any other data.

The strong plastic body (157kh35kh26mm) provides the good level of security of the built-in chip from adverse weather conditions and mechanical influences. It is possible to fix a tag by means of strepping-tapes, metal tapes, couplers and other flexible tape means.

Serial production of korpusirovanny tags with RFID technology

On August 15, 2019 the Siltek group announced mastering of serial production of completely domestic korpusirovanny tags with RFID technology for marking of trees for the purpose of counteraction of illegal cabins and also a guarantee of safety of valuable breeds of wood when transporting.

To Korpusirovannye RFID tags of S-Tag "Kedr" and S-Tag "MMD", the device with a radio-frequency identification mark of the UHF standard, are intended for remote recognition and accounting of the wood and valuable breeds of wood.

The body of devices is characterized by the increased protective qualities saving radio physical properties of the antenna and integrity of the RFID transponder, maintaining shock loads due to special construction of the body. The Inle developed for these products of PJSC Mikron, the strategic partner of Siltek Group allow to speak about completely domestic solution aimed at security and safety of a national wealth of the country.

Tags are issued at the Siltek Group enterprise - the modern completely automated production site which is still only in Russia on which korpusirovanny RFID tags of own S-Tag brand are produced in lots.

S-Tag "MMD"

Tags for marking of wood from Siltek Group successfully passed tests in the Far East – on reading a signal of RFID, on frost resistance and durability of plastic, on a fastening method.

First of all RFID tags solve a problem of accounting of valuable breeds of trees, from procurement to a stage of logistics and revenues to woodworking. But in general, on a global scale this solution - control of reserves of valuable wood in the country, its economically reasonable processing, reduction of the black market of wood raw materials and preserving of natural resources,
tells Maxim Selivanov, the head of department of technology of safety of Siltek Group

For August 15 the Government of the Russian Federation is going to develop provision which provides compulsory use of electronic tags when marking an oak, a beech and an ash-tree. Siltek Group in strategic partnership with PJSC Mikron are ready to support the national program for reduction of level of plunder of the wood in the country twice by 2022.
