Veeam Cloud Connect

Veeam Cloud Connect is a product for fast and reliable transfer of backup copies in a cloud and recovery from a cloud. Program solution component of Veeam Backup & Replication.

The product provides:

• Storage of backup copies on the remote platform.

• Complex control.
  • Possibilities of data recovery, the service providers who are stored in remote repositories, are available directly from the backup console. Control of level of loading of the cloud storage is available, reminders on need of prolongation of services of a hosting work.

• Modern architecture of infrastructure of backup.
  • tasks for archiving of backup copies using the built-in acceleration of WAN, permanent incremental backup, policy of long-term storage on the principle of GFS (grandfather-father-son) and others Are supported.

2015: Veeam Cloud Connect is equipped with means of replication

On June 10 the Veeam company announced release of the upgraded solution Veeam Cloud Connect capable to execute backup in a cloud of any service provider^[1].

To the operating functions the possibility of replication of VM in a cloud will increase, it is convenient for fast maintenance of services.

At recovery in case of accident or accident of the main website, perhaps complete recovery of infrastructure and partial - when a part of productive loading acts on the main platform, and another (for example, the refused rack) - on the platform of provider. Veeam Backup provides network interaction between virtual machines of both platforms at the expense of the built-in components (network extension appliances) providing preserving of uniform space of addressing.

Veeam Cloud Connect inkapuslirut all transferred traffic to the one and only port that allows not to open ranges of ports at connection with infrastructure of service provider.

The product is expected to release in the third quarter 2015.
