Yandex. Car-sharing - the aggregator of services of short-term lease of cars closed by "Yandex" in 2017. Service of lease of Yandex.drive cars became the successor of service.

Plans for closing of service

At the beginning of November, 2017 it became known of plans of "Yandex" for project closure " Yandex.car-sharing " which allowed to look for on the card of the machine different car-sharing services in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Budapest.^[1]

According to representatives of "Yandex", full aggregation without an opportunity to select and armor cars from one account was not demanded. It is much more important to users to have an opportunity to build city routes on transport suitable under a situation, whether it be the bus, the bicycle or lease of the car.

Representatives of "Yandex" tried to agree with carsharing services about a possibility of armoring, but they are not ready to provide to aggregators data necessary for this purpose yet, explained in the company.

"Yandex. Car-sharing" was started in May, 2017. Since June, 2017 data on carsharing cars appeared on a separate information layer in " Yandex.transport ". According to "Yandex", by the time of closing of service about 600 people a day used it.

Start

On August 15, 2017 Yandex Company announced start of the aggregator of services of short-term lease of the cars " Yandex.car-sharing " in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Budapest.

"Yandex. Car-sharing" is available to users of devices running IOS "Yandex"^[2].

In Moscow partners " Yandex.car-sharing " services:

In St. Petersburg:

In Moscow and St. Petersburg " Yandex.car-sharing " finds 62% of all offers of the companies of car-sharing in both cities.

In Budapest the choice of cars of GreenGo. Service company is available to users it is focused on the Russian tourists.

For search of cars the technology of pedestrian routing "Yandex. Maps. is used she helps to look for vehicles in a certain radius, to build an optimal route, considering real walking distance of cars, free for lease. In addition to search of the next car and creation of a route to it, the user obtains information on the vehicle (the brand, model, amount of gasoline, landing capacity), the card with places of the possible parking given about a rate.
