Baltika implements the solution for optimization, control and management of traffic flows

On June 17, 2019 the Baltika brewery announced system implementation of optimization of logistics of finished goods based on the platform " Yandex.routing ". A system will also allow to carry out monitoring of a delivery quality to clients. Due to creation of optimal routes the company is going to cut down transportation costs, to make interaction with transporters completely transparent and as a result to increase quality of customer service.

Along with implementation of service of planning of routes, Baltika connects own freight vehicles and cars of transport companies and distributors to a delivery monitoring system from "Yandex". For June, 2019 more than one thousand cars are already connected to a monitoring system; in a system information is daily processed and the delivery quality about 20,000 customer orders is analyzed and this quantity steadily grows.

The solution based on " Yandex.routing " will allow to control in online the mode delivery of all finished goods of the company and to predict delivery time of each order taking into account an operational road situation that eventually gives the chance in the automatic mode to inform clients on the status and the planned delivery time of the order. Information on potential delay will be used to organize necessary actions even before emergence of problems with delivery to the client. Besides, the platform will help the company to optimize the number of the used transport, significantly having reduced costs.

The platform uses algorithms which process data on load of thoroughfares in the cities. With their help it is possible to construct optimal routes taking into account the expected intervals of arrival of the machine on each outlet. The algorithm of automatic planning "Yandex" considers more than 50 parameters: from dimensional characteristics of a load and intervals of delivery before throughput work of a warehouse and the number of changes of drivers. Their use allows to arrange work of an algorithm under the current business processes of the company. It allows to improve uniformity of distribution of orders and to receive an optimal route, emphasized in "Yandex".

Feature of technology is the forecast of a road situation when planning routes — Yandex algorithms. Routings predict load on the basis of historical data on the average speed of the movement on different sections of roads and the accurate map of roads which is updated every day.
