VIST Group implements pilotless BELAZ-7513R dump trucks for SUEK Khakassia

On April 15, 2019 the VIST Group company (enters into Tsifra Group), the company in the field of digitalization of the large mining and metallurgical enterprises, continues project implementation on implementation in production process of pilotless BELAZ-7513R dump trucks for SUEK Khakassia LLC. For April, 2019 the assembly step of the second dump truck approaches end, the first BELAZ at the end of 2018 passed ride tests, is in debugging since the beginning of 2019, and already independently moves on experimental section of the road.

BELAZ dump trucks with a loading capacity of 130 tons will work at Chernogorsky coal mine (UOGR Abakan, Chernogorsk, Khakassia) in a tandem with the robotic excavator from Uralmash. It is planned that the implemented technologies will help the enterprise to increase considerably the performance and to lower costs.

In the project final two dump trucks, being guided by special algorithms, will be capable to rise independently in turn under a bucket of the excavator for loading of coal in a body, and then to move to a destination point and to perform unloading. This cycle will be repeated over and over again in the round-the-clock mode without the need for direct participation of the person in this process. Start of robotic section in work is planned at the end of August, 2019. Establishing interaction at once two dump trucks at the same time - the most important and responsible part of the created system. She assumes existence of programs of travel of two pieces of equipment in bottlenecks and adjustment of an optimal priority. Also on section there is intersection with the technology public road. And it means that the algorithm of deserted management of barriers and traffic lights at the intersection on the basis of data from sensors of journey and tracking of location of machines will be implemented.

Accuracy and reliability of movements of dump trucks will provide the modern equipment. In particular, it is lidars of Quaenergy and LeddarTech, Delphi radars, the cameras Orlaco, the ABB TropOS radio equipment and high-precision satellite communication Trimble tnavigation working together with the inertial system of navigation Xsense.

But ahead there is a lot more work. Before trial operation it is necessary to carry out commissioning and approbation of a system in operation. Stages of such check assume operation of a system in the mode of remote control with presence of the driver at a cabin, then at the mode of remote control, but already without driver, and on the completing segment - in completely standalone mode under remote observation of the operator. It is also necessary to develop regulations of security and to provide personnel training on specially developed programs.

The main expected effect from the robotic equipment, this cutting of costs for repairs and also providing safety of personnel, an optimizirovaniye of parameters of conducting production (width of a zone of loading, roads to cause change of corners of boards of a pit), problem solving of shortage of qualified personnel.
