2019: PepsiCO increased safety of the vehicle fleet in 6 countries

On June 14, 2019 the SCOUT — Corporate Solutions company reported that PepsiCO increased safety of the vehicle fleet in 6 countries by means of the Russian monitoring system.

In only two months of operation of a telematic system the share of the drivers of the company exceeding speed and making dangerous maneuvers on roads in the CIS decreased from 23 to 4%. As a result – significant reduction of number of road accident with participation of corporate transport, insurance and repair expenses.

Let's note that one of producers of drinks and food is a user of a domestic monitoring system long ago. So, in the Russian division of PepsiCo since 2012 the solution on control of safety of driving based on the telematic platform which covers about 6,000 vehicles is applied. As a result less than in one year the accident rate of vehicle fleet of the company in Russia was reduced by 3.5 times.

Connection to the system of several hundred units of PepsiCo transport in Belarus, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan became the next important step. Cars equipped with satellite modules of monitoring for the purpose of operating control of location, routes and the high-speed modes of vehicles. Also the telematics fixes entries into turns at a high speed, sharpness and the number of braking, evolutions and other maneuvers. Use by drivers of seat belts and headlights is separately monitored,

Having arrived on the server of the telematic platform, all these data are carefully analyzed, and on their basis detailed reports and diagrams and also final assessment of safety of actions of each driver are generated. With their help the company management can estimate style of driving of employees with ease, understand who constitutes the greatest danger on the road and to lead the reasoned discussions with participants of "risk group". Thus, the user receives the effective tool for increase in security and profitability of the vehicle fleet.

By the way, flexible approach of her developer and integrator to customer requirements not only in the territory of Russia became one more powerful argument for benefit of a telematic system.

First of all, special mechanisms of customer service and work with telematics, the most convenient and profitable to users from several CIS countries were developed at once. At the same time features of each of these states regarding the legislation and customs regulations were considered. For example, under the terms of the contract the telematic equipment is provided on a leasehold basis. At once in 6 countries I estimate the choice of our company as provider of a system of increase in safety of driving as recognition of efficiency of our solutions and service. Besides, I personally feel pride and emotional lift from the fact that our developments and services allow to save health and even lives of people on roads of the different countries

PepsiCo in Russia pays huge attention to this project and invests in it considerable means. At the heart of the project a system SCOUT. With its help the analysis of behavior of the driver driving is carried out, a feedback in real time is provided, the driving manner posing a threat is defined.

In the company two years training in accurate driving and implementation SCOUT - his logical continuation is provided. Using a monitoring system SCOUT it is possible to identify "dangerous" drivers.

The analysis of frequency of sharp braking and accelerations, violations of the high-speed mode allows a system to appropriate to drivers the corresponding point and to define those who are in a risk zone. With such drivers extra work will be carried out until their style of driving does not change. The SCOUT will help to find also the responsibles with the safest manner of driving.
