2020: Completion of work on upgrade of wireless network infrastructure

On January 13, 2020 the STEP LOGIC company reported that it completed the works on upgrade of wireless network infrastructure of Coca-Cola HBC Russia. The project was implemented based on solutions of Cisco and covered geographically distributed production, warehouse facilities and offices of the customer. As a result considerably reliability of the wireless infrastructure providing functioning of key business systems and services of the company increased.

According to the company, within the business development strategy Coca-Cola of HBC Russia implements a number of projects on optimization and a didzhitalization business and production processes. Works on complex upgrade Wi-Fi are infrastructures of Coca-Cola HBC Russia and juice division Multan of JSC the STEP LOGIC company carried out. Technical specialists of the company based on modern network equipment of Cisco upgraded a wireless network, increased Wi-Fi coverage on warehouse and production sites and also designed network in office spaces of Coca-Cola HBC Russia.

At a stage of upgrade of a wireless network for system operation of management of a warehouse (Warehouse Management System) specialists of integrator executed installation, physical replacement of the equipment, a radioprospecting of the received coverage. About 150 access points were organized, 35 switches are installed. Works were carried out on warehouse platforms of five plants Coca-Cola HBC Russia and JSC Multon located in Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Rostov region. For operating control of start of the updated equipment and minimization of time of idle times for networks and in functioning of a warehouse all works were performed in the defined, approved and minimum intervals.

Due to the start of a management system for technology process (Batch Management) for the next stage of works there was a design and increase in a coverage of Wi-fi network on production facilities of the customer in Moscow and Rostov-on-Don. Using this system observation of technology process, shipment and accounting of the made products is made. Specialists of STEP LOGIC made replacement of access points and switches. The project is executed taking into account providing 100% of reservation of a covering of a wireless network for the realization account of two circuits of access points within a single network, reservation of optical lines between the existing switching centers is in addition provided.

Besides, the command of STEP LOGIC performed design of a wireless network for the largest office spaces of the customer in Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, the Rostov region, Samara, Vladivostok. Technical specialists of integrator recorded on objects the current situation on a covering and placement of access points of Wi-fi, executed design of a sufficient covering of network on the basis of comprehensive radio-frequency planning: modeling of a covering and radio of inspection on objects. As a result the list of recommendations about change of the current places and methods of installations of access points and also on adding of points taking into account technical characteristics of the updated equipment was issued to the customer.

Taking into account development of production and implementation of the updated management system for technology process we made the decision to carry out complex upgrade of Wi-fi. All works on upgrade of Wi-fi networks on objects were carried out on the operating production and warehouse sites.
