2019: Carrying out a remote consultation for maintenance of two transactions with use of 5G networks
On November 29, 2019 the Beeline company announced, the remote consultation which is carried out together with Huawei company, the Russian Society of Surgeons (RSS), the Russian Society of Endoscopic Surgeons (RSES) based on GMS Hospital clinic for maintenance of two transactions with use of the medical equipment and 5G networks.
Within the project possibilities of a broadband channel and the low delays allowing to transfer images of high definition (4K) from cameras in the operating room, laparoscopes, anesteziologichesky panels, installations of X-ray and other medical devices were shown. Including, possibilities of the Unified information system of ROEH allowing to hold remote consultations, medical consultations and the TrueConf platforms for the organization of sessions of a 4K-video conferencing were shown.
In the operational block of GMS Hospital clinic and in the territory of the innovation center Skolkovo Beeline and Huawei unrolled a test zone of 5G network. Also participated the ROEH expert and advisory center based on hospital of Centrosoyuz of the Russian Federation in a remote consultation and the Ryazan state medical university.
Two operations with remote consultation in the mode of a consultation of surgeons were online performed:
- The first transaction – extraction of the NFC chip implanted in a hand of George Held, executive vice president for development of digital and new business Beeline.
- The second operation (removal of a cancer tumor) was performed using the laparoscope connected to a 5G network with the 4K-camera, the anesteziologichesky panel, several cameras and multimedia "white board" of Huawei 5G for exchange of expert opinions of all parties of a consultation and development of recommendations in real time.
For remote consultation registration of a request and the choice of free profile surgeons by means of the platform for carrying out consultations based on the solution TrueConf was carried out. During transactions the remote medical consultation held consultation by exchange of media information in the 4K-video conferencing mode between the operating surgeon and specialists consultants by means of remote terminals. With their help exchange of media and telematic state-of-health data of the patient was performed, transfer of recommendations and instructions in real time was carried out.
At the Ryazan state medical university the training seminar for students who could watch the course of transactions and consultations in real time was organized. The doctor of medical sciences, professor of department of hospital surgery of FSBEI IN RYAZGMA of the Russian Ministry of Health Alexander Anatolyevich Natalsky directed a seminar.
In the operational block of GMS Hospit clinic Beeline were connected to a 5G network: the laparoscope with camera 4K, multimedia "white board" for drawing marks by the advising surgeon, the camera of a general view, the camera for position fix of the patient, the panel of the anesthesiologist and the S-arc (the device of local X-ray). Surgeries were performed by Badma Nikolaevich Bashankayev, FACS, FASCRS, the head of the center of surgery GMS Hospital, the surgeon, the oncologist, the coloproctologist.
For carrying out consultation in advice center based on hospital of Centrosoyuz of the Russian Federation, the ROEH expert and advisory center were connected the camera for video transmission in permission 4K and the monitor with the resolution of 4K. Remote consultation was held by professor Sergey Ivanovich Yemelyanov, the director of hospital of Centrosoyuz, the doctor of medical sciences, the honored doctor of the Russian Federation, the president of the Russian society of endoscopic surgeons.
For carrying out visualization of a medical consultation in media center 5G based on Skolkovo Beeline were connected to 5G network: the camera of a general view for video transmission in permission 4K, multimedia "white board" for drawing marks on the image of the operated body, the monitor with the resolution of 4K. Moderation on the platform Skolkovo was carried out by Mikhail Leonidovich Tariverdiev managing affairs of the Russian society of surgeons.
For holding the training seminar for students of the Ryazan state medical university were connected the monitor with the resolution of 4K and the camera of a general view for video transmission in permission 4K.
Use of technologies 5G can contribute to the development of health sector. Thanks to communication opportunities, patients in remote regions for which the immediate operational help of specialists is necessary should not go to clinic or hospital in the large regional centers any more. It will be possible to receive the help in remote regional hospitals or clinics: if more competent specialist cannot transport the patient in other clinic, an urgent video call can save to the patient life. The provided technologies can be demanded, including, in the field of diagnostics and status monitoring of patients with chronic diseases.
