The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation ordered the database for automation of work of police officers for 245 million rubles

In July, 2020 the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation ordered the database for automation of work of police officers for 245 million rubles. The Business Solution AMG company will develop the second version of information base of federal level for Federal State Institution of NPO Spetsialnaya tekhnika i svyaz.

According to  Kommersant with reference to results of the tender for development and developer company, the contractor of the order will have to create a system by the end of 2022 and to use the domestic software and database management systems and also to integrate service into a single system of information and analytical ensuring activity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the tender documentation, IBD-F 2.0 will automatically have to obtain information on living in hotels, accumulate data on criminals and violators, to collect data on accreditation of diplomats and members of their families, to maintain a register of detainees and suspects, to collect information on the foreigners who committed crimes, to consider the stolen things, transport, antiques, the lost weapon, passports, to obtain data from registry offices.

Also in base there will be following sections:

  • Zapretnika (stay of which in Russia the authorities consider the information about persons to which entry into the Russian Federation is not resolved or unwanted);
  • "Border" (the information about the persons crossing border of Russia, arriving from FSB);
  • "Remote fraud" (data on the crimes committed using information technologies);
  • "Identification (biometric identification);
  • "The electronic journal of the issued references" (receiving requests for rendering public service and service performance).

 The staff of software developers polled by the edition considers that IBD-F really became technically outdated long ago and it needs to be rewritten again, but not to update as it occurred till 2014.[1]
