On November 6, 2019 it became known that the Moscow Metro will buy cameras for installation on tourniquets. The starting price of the contract is 101.6 million rubles. It is said in the statement of the press service of department on competition policy published on November 6 on the official site of the Mayor of Moscow.

According to the Head of Department Gennady Degtev, the system of video fixing of pass will equip tourniquets on an input and an exit. By March, 2020 it is going to equip with video surveillance of 5500 tourniquets. At first the technology will earn on 600 tourniquets. Start of a system will take place at the end of 2019. On execution of all obligations 90 calendar days are allotted to the winner of an electronic auction.

The Moscow Metro will buy cameras for installation on tourniquets in the subway

It is expected that video surveillance will be set at 11 stations of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line, seven stopping points of the Kaluga and Riga branch and also will cover on one station Lublin and Dmitrovskoy and Tagansko-Krasnopresnensky lines.

Devices of video surveillance will be installed on racks of tourniquets. Earlier pilot project acted on the October Field metro station, and today there is a speech about its scaling on other stations. Retrofitting of tourniquets takes place within the order of the Government of the Russian Federation which regulates requirements for ensuring transport security — the chief of service of development of directorate of the information and technology systems and communication systems of the subway Dmitry Tur told.

In a conversation with Moskovskij Komsomolets he explained that cameras as the small black box on a steel leg attached to a tourniquet over the validator will look. The equipment will be used to increase safety of passengers. Devices will transfer "picture" to the situational center in real time, and records — to be stored within a month.[1]
