Transneft was tired to wait for SAP: a system for control of the equipment will be completed by Galaktika

On March 11, 2017 Transneft "Certification and the control of technical condition (CTC)" worth 379 million rubles signed the agreement with Galaktika corporation on creation and implementation of a corporate information system.[1]

"Galaktika" will implement an equipment control system in Transneft

A new system should be developed based on already implemented ACS Passport. This solution for Transneft since the beginning of 2016 was created by SAP. The volume of the development contract of a system was 162.5 million rubles, and terms were designated by the end of November, 2016[2].

The representative of Transneft speaks[3]that until recently the functionality on control of technical means and certification of the equipment in the company was not and it was tried to be made with SAP. To the declaration of the tender SAP was engaged in it about a year, then asked two more years, the representative of the company told Vedomosti.

However it seemed to Transneft that it long, and at Galaktika this system was half ready. Besides, representatives of Galaktika promised to make in the summer the first release, and by the end of the year a system should function already at the customer. The representative of transport company also specified that they work mainly with SAP, and with Galaktika – concerning certification. SAP CIS refused to comment on TAdviser this project.

As it appears from procurement documentation, as of March, 2017, automation of productive activity regarding "Certification and KTS" has a number of shortcomings. In particular, there is no standard structure of the register of technical objects, there are no unified names of technical objects, databases in the used systems are separated, there is no possibility of online analytical processing, etc.

In the system created by Galaktika the standard information model of technical objects of the trunk pipeline should be created, should there will be a register of technical objects, forms of passports and forms are configured. A system will have to become the sample solution for further replication in structural divisions "Transneft – Western Siberia" and "Transneft – the Central Siberia".
