Letter (1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse)

The Dialog IT company in October, 2007 completed the first stage of the large project on implementation of software products 1C in the St. Petersburg company "Litera" specializing in the wholesale supplies of printing products. During this stage 11 jobs "were automated by 1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse".

Litera LLC along with retail network of Snark bookstores and Azbuka publishing house is included into group, performing a full stroke of production and sale of printing products.

The decision on transition to the new system of an inventory control was made in May, 2007. It is important to note that earlier (for half a year to this solution) in the company an attempt of system implementation "1C: Enterprise was made: Trade management", in a warehouse the closed system working under Unix was used. Natural desire to pass to the single consolidated system became key for implementation of a new and modern system. The main goal of this stage of the project – to replace the former program which is not meeting to a number of requirements of a better system. The Dialog Information Technologies company could offer a product "to 1C Logistics: Management of warehouse 8", meeting all requirements imposed to a warehouse system. Besides, modern technologies of management of a warehouse assume use of the specialized equipment – scanners of barcodes and batch-terminals.

Implementation of an inventory control took place in Litera company in several short stages. In May, 2007 – inspection, in June-July – a system design and implementation of data exchange in August. In September there took place trial operation of a system, and necessary completions were made. And in October, 2007 start in commercial operation took place.

Project implementation in so short terms became possible thanks to joint work of specialists of Dialog IT company and the staff of Litera company. In the course of implementation of the new software product the Dialog IT company provided training of staff of Litera company and also included in a project team of the technical architect that allowed to accelerate significantly start of a system in operation.

In the course of system implementation in Litera LLC the following warehouse transactions were automated:

Acceptance; Shipment; Selection; Placement of products; Inventory of products. Thanks to a system "1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse" in Litera LLC the controllability of a warehouse increased, exchange with an information system of operational accounting was adjusted, the transparency of reporting information appeared.
