TLK "Module Terminal" (St. Petersburg) is included into structure of Modul company.

For the purpose of increase in efficiency of the terminal by the management of Module the decision on its automation was made. There was a problem of the choice of the complete solution providing operational management of the container platform taking into account specifics of the enterprise – existence of works on storage and processing of empty containers. Solution

In selection process systems solving automation problems at the similar enterprises were considered. The most fully assigned tasks were answered by the Solvo.CTMS system. On it the choice was also stopped. For benefit of this solution played also experience of long-term real work in the ports of Russia, CIS and Baltic countries.

Within the project it was also necessary to develop and implement interaction of own workflow system of the terminal and automation system for creation of uniform management information space.

The agreement was signed in August, 2008, and in September, 2009 implementation of the system modified under specifics of dry terminals is complete. Technologies

SOLVO developers considered technology features of dry terminals during the work on modified by the version of the Solvo.CTMS system.

Feature of TLK "Module Terminal" is the large volume of works with empty containers. It assumes such distribution of the equipment at which its different types it is appointed to the same works. For empty containers front-end container loaders or richstaker are generally used. The information system optimum distributes works between different types of the equipment.

Besides, a system allows to consider empty containers on set of parameters (container type, length, the owner and so forth) directly at the time of arrival of the car or the train. At the same time when planning a container is taken into account not only its availability (a storage tier, minimization of stowages, a run of the overload equipment), but also time of its stay on the terminal that allows to increase uniformity of use of containers and their wear.

Work with the damaged containers – one of the directions of business of TLK "Module Terminal". Solvo.CTMS allows to make registration of the damaged containers and the description of their defects. Depending on existence of the agreement with the partner on repair of containers, the management system automatically sends the car with the damaged container or to a remzona on a side job, or on a warehouse where necessary actions will be made.

System implementation of Solvo.CTMS increased rational use of the equipment, processing speed of containers. So, for example, at placement of a container in a cell of appointment or at purpose of cells for processing of cars directly among a stack, the management system issues a task for the radio terminal to the driver of the equipment specifying not only the address of this cell, but also prompting from what party of a stack it is necessary to approach or where to deliver the car on processing. Results

Solvo.CTMS system implementation on TLK "Module Terminal" optimized management of technology processes at the enterprise – the processing speed of containers increased, the equipment is more rationally used that reduces costs for its service.

Company TLK "Module Terminal" can provide to the clients exact data on their loads and containers as the management system flexibly and adequately reacts to changes of the operational situation on the terminal which is often depending on the client's wishes. Plans for the future

In the long term cooperation of TLK "Module Terminal" and SOLVO company – further improvement of system modules of management, development of function of processing of group visits of the atotransport, important for the dry terminal, for the purpose of effective management in small lots containers of different owners and also some other actions which will allow to increase efficiency of the terminal.
