Implementation of QlikView in Slata supermarket chain

In May, 2011 the SLATA supermarket chain and FB Consult company, the official partner of QlikTech company, successfully completed implementation of the effective, economic and easy-to-work tool of a business intelligence of QlikView.

To causal need of implementation of BI for retail division of SLATA group there was an arisen dissatisfaction of key users in limitation (by many criteria) analytical tools in the used main accounting system and need of consolidation of data from different sources for the deep analysis of activity of the enterprise.

The choice of the BI tool became not a short case for the company: the solutions Cognos, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft and several products Open Source were browsed. But "simplicity and incomparable speed of implementation, even without attraction of third parties, pronounced orientation on the end user, lack of need for additional storage" — according to Sergey Kochnev of the Head of Department of IT of Retail Chain stores of "SLATA" — "gives clear advantage to the product QlikView on indicators of ROI and TCO."

"The first application thanks to which we saw a small part of all power of QlikView appeared in three days after obtaining licenses and deployment of the server. On the basis of this application we reduced costs of telephone communication on all retail outlets and office of retail chain stores by 16% and delivered this indicator on control. I will express the opinion: to fail QlikView implementation, it is necessary to try very much" — as Sergey told.

"An ultimate goal of implementation of QlikView is ensuring business and, first of all, top management, tools (resources) which at any time and from every spot on the globe, would provide them only the correct information on a current status of activity of the enterprise for all key indicators at the moment of time.
