Planet Service-to (Solvo.WMS)

The SOLVO company completed the project on automation of warehouses of Planeta Service-K LLC - the leader in the Ukrainian market of office supplies for school and office, format paper, the electric tool and the loading equipment. The company offers the clients more than 5000 assortment positions of forty five trademarks in all regions of Ukraine.

Specific Features

One of competitive advantages of Planeta Service-K LLC is the thought-over, effective system of logistics. The main office is located in Dnipropetrovsk, there are representations in Kiev, Luhansk and Lviv that allows to deliver goods in any point of Ukraine in time and in quantity, necessary for the client.

Description of a warehouse

The warehouse in Dnipropetrovsk is the big complex occupying 63,000 sq.m. together with adjacent territories. Five separate buildings have partial specialization in groups of goods: office supplies, format and polygraphic paper, electric tool, loading equipment and machines, packing materials.

The main type of storage – boxed and pallet. Including there are cells of piece storage – channels of selection. Also transit movements of goods between warehouses are performed.

Project solution

As the automation system after the held tender the Solvo.WMS system which provides uniform management information space of all warehouse enterprise was selected and using the gateway it is connected to a head corporate system of enterprise management.

Start of the Solvo.WMS system in commercial operation took place in March, 2009. Analyzing results of implementation, the logistics director of Planeta Service-K LLC Maystrenko Alexander noted: "The number of SKU which are stored in our warehouse – about 16000 units. Per day from a warehouse about 700 orders different on volume are shipped.

Results of Implementation

A system allows us to select at the same time goods from all warehouses. Control over the movement of loads, carrying out warehouse transactions happens in real time. We can create pallets, collect orders of different clients, perform their loading in motor transport taking into account an expected route.

We are happy with results of implementation as we had an opportunity quickly and is transparent to manage all logistic business processes of the company. The correct strategy of placement and processing of loads allowed to reduce considerably an assembly time of orders, to increase assembling accuracy, to possess information on a goods remaining balance in a real mode of time.
