Project Description

On October 22, 2008 in the city of Novosibirsk at the Baltika Novosibirsk plant the Solvo system was accepted in commercial operation. WMS. It already the seventh successful system implementation in warehouses of JSC Baltika Brewery.

Experience of group of implementation, the accurate organization of process from the management of a warehouse, seasonal recession of shipments promoted that all works were performed accurately and in time.

Implementation Progress

After signing of the contract, on April 21, 2008, specialists of SOLVO company conducted necessary examinations on the basis of which the agreement on supply of equipment was signed, the technical specifications are made and approved with the customer. To the end of construction works in a warehouse the necessary equipment was delivered, integration with the ERP system Monolith is made, servers are configured, the necessary marking is put.

On August 4, 2008 the final stage of works – system deployment began. In three weeks works on equipment supervision of erection, joining with applicators were performed, personnel training is organized. Since August 21 the Solvo.WMS system began to manage work of a warehouse of Baltika in the mode of test operation. At this stage the trained warehouse workers performed product acceptance via the Solvo.WMS system, trying to obtain 100% of stacking of all warehouse. Old, nestikirovanny products, were shipped without scanning. Thus, within six weeks coincidence accuracy by criterion "a cell-sort-quantity a pallet" was reached by 95%.

On October 6 the group of implementation of SOLVO company started the final phase of the project – to transfer of a warehouse to the level of independent operation on a system. Within two weeks the personnel were trained in functionality of shipments and reached this level.

Customer Feedback

The warehouse supervisor of branch of JSC "Baltika brewery – Baltika Novosibirsk Pavel Dorozhkin, estimating work of group of implementation of "SOLVO", told: "System implementation was carried out in 2.5 months. Implementation was painless absolutely about any failure of shipments or a stop of lines the speech never went. The group of implementation consisting of three people worked without the days off. Consultations on phone were in case of need made. Except implementation directly in a warehouse, big organizational work was done, work of a warehouse affects also adjacent divisions: workshop of pouring, department of IT, Laboratory. Based on experience of the previous projects, specialists of "SOLVO" predicted these or those problems in advance, planned meetings with divisions, recommended new regulations of works for signing. System implementation of Solvo.WMS will allow to observe strictly the principle of FIFO, to optimize placement of products in a warehouse (use of ABC analysis), to avoid a resort at shipment of finished goods, will give the chance of blocking of products, tracking of history of everyone pallets from an exit from the line before shipment to the Customer, will increase the level of discipline of employees of a warehouse".

The curator on implementation of the SOLVO projects from Baltika Vitaly Veselsky, speaking about work of a support service of SOLVO company noted: "Now the Solvo.WMS system automates work of 7 warehouses of Baltika brewery: in St. Petersburg (at two plants), Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tula, Samara and Novosibirsk. "SOLVO" has the round-the-clock hot line on which it is possible to address in case of any critical failures and to receive the real operational help. Besides, there are special mailings in which all requests and questions of users are registered, numbers are assigned to them and without fail answers follow."

Further perspective

Such close and effective cooperation allows to speak about further plans: implementation of similar projects on branches of JSC "Baltika brewery in Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh, Khabarovsk and Yaroslavl is in the short term planned.

Baltika Samara, brewery

The Solvo company completed the project on system implementation of management of Solvo.WMS in a warehouse of Baltika Samara brewery, branch of the largest Russian brewery Baltika.

The project became continuation of long cooperation of both companies within which for the Baltika PC it was automated six warehouses, with a total area about 76,300 sq.m. The warehouse at the Baltika Samara plant contains about 16 thousand pallets.

Feature of the project was the fact that the WMS system was brought into operation at the end of June, i.e. during the period, difficult for branch (a summer "high" season). And, according to the customer, for all the time of system implementation in a warehouse there were no delays on acceptance and shipment of goods. It became possible, in many respects, due to application of the solution worked earlier on other similar objects which, according to the developer, can be considered as industry solution for the beer industry.

During implementation the WMS system was integrated with the ERP system which is operated in the company from Info Monolith company.

By the customer's estimates, with introduction of a system to action the accuracy of data on a warehouse increased to 99%, information on all events in a warehouse arrives in real time; use of warehouse spaces and the equipment is optimized, the volume of paper work is reduced. The laboratory monitoring product quality had an opportunity of blocking of a batch and loads.
